Milani Glitzy Glamour Gloss Swatches & Review

Remember the Milani Baked Blushes I just couldn’t resist? Well along with those, I also picked up a couple of Milani’s Glitzy Glamour Glosses for about $6 each!

These were a total impulse buy for me. Before I walked into K-Mart that day I had never read any reviews or seen any swatches for this product so I was a little leery about the formulation and pigmentation at first, but the packaging really helped me get over it. I just love it!

These glosses are small yet not too small and come in a clear, plastic casing with gold lettering and caps. The color range of these glosses is pretty limited. There are only seven shades ranging from beige and pink toned nudes to a ruby color.

I ended up picking up the shades Glow Girl, Puttin’ on the Glitz, and First Class. Glow Girl and First Class are both pink shades while Puttin’ on the Glitz is more of a beige nude shade. Glow Girl is a really bright, Barbie color pink. First Class is also very bright and vibrant fuchsia color. All of the glosses include a fair amount of sheen and shimmer but they don’t come off as super sparkly and glittery to me.

Here are the swatches without flash:

They went perfect with both my neutral and brighter colored lip pencils! They lasted between 2-4 hours depending on the amount of eating and drinking you plan on doing. The packaging is as sturdy as it is gorgeous! I dropped one of these beauties on my bathroom floor earlier. It hit the ground pretty hard but took the impact impressively!

The glosses are nicely pigmented, not too drying, and have a slight candy smell to them that isn’t very strong and tends to fade (for those glamour girls with sensitive noses). They apply very smoothly and the colors are EXTREMELY vibrant and have a wonderful sheen to them. They can dress up any lip pencil or lipstick as well as be brightened or toned down with the use of a pencil or lipstick. They are worth a try! I really like them!

The pigmentation and sheen alone won me over with these glosses. I feel like they have the perfect balance of sheen without appearing too shiny or wet. The glosses are a little thick but they definitely aren’t gooey or sticky. The glosses could last a little longer but overall I like this formulation!
