Coastal Scents 22 Piece Brush Set First Impressions (Pic Heavy!!)
A little while ago I purchased the Coastal Scents 22 Piece Brush Set from Amazon and last week I finally received it! After reading tons of glowing reviews from gurus, beginners and professionals alike I decided to just grab it. For only $35 and free shipping what did I have to lose? This seems to be an excellent purchase and investment!
The set comes in a black faux leather case that is not very small but certainly not bulky considering it’s holding 22 brushes! When it first arrived the leather smell was pretty strong. I’ve read online that this was common though and the scent would soon fade. Indeed it did. I just left it sitting in a cool room with a ceiling fan for a bit and it was fine.
The case has Coastal Scents embossed on the front and snaps shut with magnetic closures underneath. It’s very chic and professional looking and will fit in most larger train cases. If not, you can definitely slip it in your bag. It’s not very heavy at all!
The case folds out revealing all the pretty brushes. They look even prettier in person than the stock photos! All 22 brushes sit comfortably in the case which also has a nice Coastal Scents printed flap that protects the bristles while the case is closed. You also get a nice zipper compartment to put your small essentials like spare mascara or gloss wands.
The set features 22 gorgeous, shiny black brushes that are as soft and lush as they look. This set seems like an amazing value so far. Everything feels great. The face brushes feel amazing! The eye brushes feel great as well! And you definitely get plenty. Some are repetitive but the right brushes to achieve the most complicated looks were definitely included.
As I mentioned earlier the face brushes in this set look amazing. You get a round top buffer, flat top buffer, angled blush/contour brush, small blush brush, foundation brush and a jumbo fan brush. The two buffer brushes and the fan brush are very dense. The small blush brush and angled brush are pretty dense as well but because they’re smaller they’re not as dense.
Here’s a closer look at the eye brushes. You get a few crease brushes, a lot of nice lid brushes, a smudger, brow brush and a couple of angled eyeliner brushes as well. I feel like I have just about everything I need! I’m glad I ordered this set so far. I’m going to wash them and report back with how they hold up.
Do any of you ladies own this set or any Coastal Scents brushes? What do you think?
