I have been stalking Specktra‘s MAC makeup boards for months in anticipation for this collection! I’m a sucker for cute packaging so once pics from this super adorable collection started to leak I knew I was going to love it! Yesterday I just about exploded when I noticed that the lovely Karen from Makeup and Beauty Blog snagged the entire collection and took pics and swatches (click the link to see the rest)! This collection will be released online supposedly January 30th (my birthday WOO!) and in stores February 7th or 14th depending on location.

Usually, I go haul crazy over a nice MAC collection but this one didn’t charm me as much as previous collections, like Glamour Daze. Because everything else looks similar to what I have or probably won’t work for my tone I’m only focusing on the lippies in this post. But please do check out Karen’s blog because this collection is too cute to not drool all over!

I thought I’d lose my mind with the Veronica side of this collection because of the darker, sultry colors but it looks like I’m a Betty at heart! I’m adoring her lippies and I have two of them (possibly three) on my list. There’s three lipsticks including Girl Next Door (vivid blue pink lustre), Betty Bright (light vibrant peach satin) and Oh, Oh, Oh (sheer brown plum lustre). And also three lip glass including Summer Sweetheart (light peach), Stay Sweet (light lavender pink) and Kiss & Don’t Tell (bright coral). All of them are beautiful but I have my heart set on Betty Bright lipstick and Kiss & Don’t Tell lip glass. I have fallen totally in love with coral lippies this year! I also have my eye on the Girl Next Door lipstick but I’ll have to swatch it myself to see how I like it. All of the swatches I’ve seen online aren’t heavy enough to make a solid decision yet.

There’s no way I could not snag anything from the Veronica side though! Her lippies are so dark and sexy! Veronica’s three lipsticks include Boyfriend Stealer (deep blackened plum cremesheen), Daddy’s Little Girl (mid-tone pink violet satin) and Ronnie Red (bright red matte). With the lip glass Strawberry Malt (bright red), Feelin so Good (deep blackened plum) and Mall Madness (mid-tone pink violet). I know I have to have the Mall Madness lip glass because the color is just super pretty! I was planning on snagging a Daddy’s Little Girl lipstick but it looks very similar to the Outrageously Fun lipstick I hauled from Glamour Daze. Plus after snagging Candy Yum Yum and Pink Pigeon I think I have more than enough pink lippies to last me a lifetime!

I’m pretty surprised I’ll walk away with just 3 (or 4) things from this super cute collection. So unlike me! I suppose my stash is getting so large that I’m starting to be more rational with my makeup spending. I still have my eye on Betty’s super cute pearlmatte powder but I’m not sure how it’ll look on my deeper tone. Hopefully it doesn’t work for me so I can skip it and get my hands on one of the new extra dimension skinfinish highlighters that are being released in April. Those things are amazeballs!!
