Get Sexy Matte Lips with MAC this Fall!
I gave you guys a head’s up about MAC’s retro matte lipstick collection in my recent RiRi Boy lipstick review but now I’m back with more info and of course some swatches for my lovelies! The retro matte formula is simply amazing but MAC has only one shade available in their permanent line. Lucky for us, the genius minds over MAC has decided to grace us with 7 more shades dripping in retro matte goodness!
MAC is known for pumping out limited edition collections faster than we can blink but this one is going to be permanent. That’s right ladies! No sold out signs. No stalking. Just happy hauling! It’s nice to see MAC adding new products to the permanent line. Things needed to be shaken up! You won’t be able to shop your local MAC counter for one of these lippies until September 12th but keep your eyes peeled for the online release the week before. The full collection includes:
- Relentlessly Red (bright pinkish coral)
- Dangerous (bright orange red)
- All Fired Up (bright fuchsia)
- Flat Out Fabulous (bright plum)
- Runway Hit (light nude)
- Steady Going (light pink
- Fixed on Drama (rich wine)
- Ruby Woo (deep red)
Prolongwear Lip Pencil
- High Energy (bright orange red)
- Trust in Red (bright cool red)
- Shock Value (bright pink)
- Dynamo (bright warm pink)
- Fashion Boost (bright purple)
- In Anticipation (bright yellow pink)
- More to Love (bright fuchsia pink)
- Staunchly Stylish (soft rosy brown)
Steady Going, Relentlessly Red, All Fired Up, Runway Hit, Dangerous, Fixed on Drama
Dynamo, Shock Value, High Energy, Trust in Red, Fashion Boost
Although all of the colors are beautiful I think this will be a small haul for me. I already own most of the lipstick shades in a different finish. Not to mention, these aren’t shades I would reach for often honestly. I do wish Flat Out Fabulous was on the display though. It looks like a color that I would love! As of now I have Fixed on Drama, Flat Out Fabulous and Runway Hit on my list. Steady Going is a maybe depending on how it looks applied with a good nude liner. Because it’s so matte I’m afraid it might look powdery on me. We shall see soon! What will you be hauling?
