MAC Perfectly Poised Mineralize Skinfinish Review + FOTD

The Divine Night has come and gone but there’s still shimmering goodies left! Usually MAC collections sell out lightning fast so it’s surprising to see so many pieces left. Especially Perfectly Poised because it’s just gorgeous!

Perfectly Poised features a new Mineralize design with a shimmering pinky champagne square inside of a larger metallic strong yellow gold base. Either shade can be used separately or swirled together to customize your glow. I found both shades in Perfectly Poised fairly pigmented and not too shimmery. The finish is more of a sheen than full on glitter cheeks. Unless you want it that way (like me lol). It can definitely be built up to give full on glitter goodness!

The texture of Perfectly Poised is very soft and blendable but a bit powdery. It doesn’t look powdery on but I kick up a nice amount of product each time I dip my brush into the pan. Other than the slight powderiness I have no complaints about Perfectly Poised. It flatters a variety of complexions, lasts all day for me and is very versatile. I can rock a subtle or super glowy highlight that’s both beautiful and unique. I have a ton of gold highlighters but the pinky sheen the cream square gives really adds a special touch to the finished look.

Now on to the face of the day! Of course, I’m wearing Perfectly Poised on the cheeks but I also paired it with Lavish Living mineralize blush. I just love these two together! I’m also wearing MAC Sun Power Mineralize Skinfinish Natural all over. On my eyes, I went for a dramatic winged look using NARS Black Valley and added a pop of color with MAC Mystery Kohl Power pencil on my waterline. I completed the look with MAC Talk That Talk lipstick lined with MAC Fashion Boost lip liner and topped off with a bit of Marc Jacob’s Heart Shaped gloss.
