Best of 2013: Blush
Okay picking out my favorite blushes of 2013 was a no brainer! This year was definitely focused on natural looks. I spent most of the year rushing from one job to the next (or waking up at crack of dawn) so I always reached for blushes that looked natural and added glamour to my bare face.
MAC Lavish Living Mineralize Blush is definitely on the more glamorous side of the spectrum here! This plum based mineralize blush has a ton of multidimensional shimmer that doubled as a beautiful highlight. Lavish Living is my go to fall blush when I’m in a pinch. It instantly adds color and a lovely glow. Plus it works well with any lip color I throw at it!
MAC Pleasure Model Extra Dimension Blush was just recently added to my collection a few days ago but I couldn’t leave it off this list! I’ve been wearing it everyday since it arrived on my doorstep. Pleasure Model is a shimmering rusty orange shade that adds a natural warm flush of color. It’s an amazing everyday blush for brown girls! The formula just melts into the skin and gives a lit from within finish that I just can’t get enough of!
MAC Ripe for Love Blush is my favorite peach blush! Ripe for Love is a peachy pink blush that’s perfect for summer (or even fall). It adds a beautiful flush of color and is very hard to overdo. I love using Ripe for Love for my barely there makeup looks as it works so well with any type of look. It’s so soft, feminine and pretty!
La Femme Russet Blush is probably the reason my blush list is so tiny because I’ve worn it pretty much daily all this year! Russet is like a darker, more coppery toned version of Pleasure Model. Russet adds a nice flush of color and doubles as a contour. It really makes my cheeks pop!
