Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask Review

I’ve tried so many different balms and scrubs to help heal my super dry lips but only two products have worked. This brand new lip mask from Bite and my Hourglass treatment. I adore my Hourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil but it is so pricey! Luckily Bite Beauty released the Agave Lip Mask because it’s a joy on my lips and Wallet! But of course it doesn’t come without Its flaws.

Everything about the formula is wonderful but l HATE the packaging! When I first started using the Bite Beauty Lip Mask I thought it was going to be great because It feels so sturdy. Very wrong! The tube has a hard metal feel that’s quite tough to squeeze and feels rough on the lips. I definitely recommend using your fingers or a lip brush to apply. You’d think with the tough metal feel the tube would be super sturdy. False. It’s actually pretty easy to puncture. I only had my tube for a week before it punctured on both sides from struggling to squeeze out the mask.

Once I got past the difficult packaging it was smooth sailing for the Bite Agave Lip Mask! It’s has a light, sweet yet waxy scent and is very, very thick so a little goes a very long way. Unfortunately because of the tube design it may be a little difficult to get the perfect amount without over dispensing so try not to strong arm it too much. The mask goes on very smoothly upon application and instantly turns my lips to butter! It’s formulated with a blend of organic agave nectar, jojoba oil, vanilla extract and triple the amount of antioxidants found in red wine. The result is a soothing, super hydrating lip mask that works great as a balm and an overnight treatment. The Agave Lip Mask lasts for around 6 hours and leaves my lips feeling silky smooth for hours afterwards. I definitely recommend it over the Hourglass Lip Treatment Oil because it’s much cheaper at $26 (versus $42) and it can be used as a balm too. I just wish the packaging was as functional and luxurious. But the formula more than makes up for it! I definitely recommend heading over to Sephora to check it out!

I do think it’s worth a try. Especially if you suffer from dry, cracked lips. The packaging is just extremely frustrating. It’s not even suitable to apply straight from the tube. I have no idea what they were thinking smh
