MAC Heavenly Hybrid Lipstick Review

I’ll be honest. I fully intended to return my Fantasy of Flowers lipsticks because I had such high hopes for Snapdragon and it turned out to be really sheer. But trying on Heavenly Hybrid definitely won me over! It may look like a typical berry lipstick but I just can’t get over how much I love it!

Heavenly Hybrid is exactly what I was hoping Private Party would be on me! It’s a luscious pinky berry shade that’s so easy to apply and feels so good on the lips! Unlike most of my MAC lipsticks, Heavenly Hybrid works very well on my dry lips even if I haven’t exfoliated. The lustre finish makes it super creamy and gives Heavenly Hybrid a moist, glossy finish. I found Snapdragon to be just a tiny bit drying after a while but Heavenly Hybrid isn’t drying at all. It’s very comfortable to wear! Heavenly Hybrid isn’t as long wearing as my matte lipsticks but it does last for around 4 hours which is pretty great for lustres. I do wish it lasted a few hours more but the formula is so delightful I don’t mind reapplying at all. I’m not the biggest fan of the lustre finish but Heavenly Hybrid is a winner! The color isn’t that unique exactly but I don’t have anything like it in my stash so I’m incredibly pleased with it and definitely recommend checking it out. It’s been said that Heavenly Hybrid is a very close (spot on for some) dupe for Dish It Up lipstick released in the Shop, Cook collection back in 2012. So if you missed out or need a backup you really need dash to MAC quick! If your local MAC is sold out you can still find Heavenly Hybrid online at Nordstrom but it’s currently backordered and won’t ship until the 24th. Better than late than never, right?
