Well hello there, Spellbound! I’m just now introducing myself to the Covergirl Lip Perfection Lipsticks but I know we’ll get a long great. Smooth, creamy and pigmented? Yes please!

Spellbound is a vibrant mid-tone magenta with a slight purple undertone and floral scent. The colorĀ isn’t very unique but, surprisingly, I couldn’t find any dupes in my stash. MAC Flat Out Fabulous lipstick is similar but it’s darker, a little more purple and has a matte finish. The texture is very creamy and glides onto the lips without tugging or pulling. It has a slight sheen upon application but it sets to a soft, satin finish in a couple of hours.

Spellbound applied evenly and opaque in one layer and felt pretty good on the lips. I didn’t find it to be moisturizing but it still worked well with my dry lips. Despite the creamy formula, it didn’t settle into lip lines much or emphasize dry patches. Spellbound wears for around 5-6 hours before beginning to fade into a stain. The stain lasts a fairly long time and doesn’t look icky afterwards so you don’t have to rush for touch ups. Overall, I think it’s a lovely lipstick and I recommend checking it out the next time you raid your local drugstore!
