NYX Hunk Butter Lipstick Review
The universe can be so cruel yet so sweet! There have been so many lipsticks that I thought about skipping but ended up falling in love with. I considered getting Hunk at first but I decided on Razzle and Sweet Tart instead. If I could rewind the hands of time I would have added Hunk too!
Hunk is a warm, mid-tone purple with slight red undertones and a faint sweet smell. I thought I would have a few dupes but it looks like Wet n Wild Ferguson Crest Cabernet and Urban Decay Venom are the only shades that come close. Both are slightly darker with stronger red undertones but pretty comparable to Hunk.
Hunk has a thin, creamy texture that’s pretty moisturizing and dry lips friendly. It applies very smoothly and evenly with semi-opaque coverage and a glossy sheen. Hunk is very easy to sheer out or build up for more intensity. I think it would work well for both the soft wash of color and bold lip gals. Upon application, Hunk feels more like a gloss but it sets into a soft satin finish within a couple of hours. The lipstick wears away completely around 3 hours but it leaves behind a beautiful stain that lasts all day plus leaves the lips feeling soft. The formula does tend to move around a bit though. You know, because it’s so creamy. A good lip liner definitely solves the problem though! If you’re into creamy berry lipsticks then Hunk is definitely right up your alley!
This reminds of MAC girl about Town.
I’ve been meaning to try Girl About Town for a while now. I need to finally grab a tube to compare!
