NYX Pore Filler Review

Don’t you just hate when you can’t remember who told you something? I can’t recall who posted a glowing review about the NYX Pore Filler on Instagram but please feel free to toot your own horn here. You’ve definitely scored some brownie points from me! I’ve raided the NYX booth at CVS million times without even noticing this nifty little beauty. Thank goodness you opened my eyes!

The NYX Pore Filler won’t make your pores disappear like magic but it does have a nice blurring effect that makes pores look smaller and less noticeable. It has a thick, creamy texture that’s easy to apply with no noticeable scent. It’s a silicone based formula so it glides across the skin effortlessly. I know some people have issues with silicone primers but the NYX Pore Filler seems to play nicely with my sensitive skin. I’ve been using it for a few weeks and it hasn’t clogged my pores or caused any breakouts.

The formula actually reminds me a lot of the NARS Instant Line And Pore Perfector. It smooths out the skin, blurs pores and fine lines and reduces shine. Pore Filler probably won’t give you as dramatic results but it’s a really great alternative! It provides a smooth canvas for makeup and helps everything last a little longer even in the warm summer heat. The formula seems to be geared towards oily gals but I think dry and combination skin types will enjoy this primer too. The NYX Pore Filler is a little more expensive than your typical drugstore primer ($14) but it’s works well for the price!
