Nanacoco Uptown Girl Lip Gloss Review
The upside to always rocking a bun? I get to sport glossy lips whenever I like! Which is a real treat when it comes to my Nanacoco glosses. I just adore these things! Who knew the beauty supply held so many gems?
Uptown Girl is a vibrant violet with a sweet, cake-like scent, slight pink undertone and lots of fine blue shimmer. The shimmer creates this funky iridescent blue duochrome effect that really makes Uptown Girl one of kind. And really hard to photograph, too! These pictures seriously don’t do this beauty any justice. The duochrome is much more noticeable and beautiful in person!
The formula is also quite impressive for a $3 gloss! Uptown Girl is intensely pigmented and delivers full coverage in a single swipe. You only need one layer to achieve the intensity and duochrome effect you see in the tube. It has a slightly thick yet creamy texture that doesn’t feel heavy or sticky at all. It’s actually lightly moisturizing and pretty darn comfortable to wear! Uptown Girl lasts for around 2-4 hours without bleeding or feathering. It does settle into lip lines a tiny bit but it’s not noticeable at all really. I actually didn’t realize it until I took the lip swatch below.
Uptown Girl is totally pigmented enough to wear alone but it layers well too. I love pairing it with my favorite pink and purple lipsticks to give that cool blue duochrome effect. If your local beauty supply store sells Nanacoco glosses I highly recommend checking them out. The quality is superb for the price!
