NYX Buttery Nude Xtreme Shine Lip Cream Review
Long live lipstick hybrids! I don’t always like to wear gloss but sometimes lipsticks can be a little harsh on my lips sometimes. That’s why I’ve really been enjoying the NYX Xtreme Shine Lip Creams! The formula is like a lipstick and gloss in one. You get all of the pigmentation of a lipstick but with the cushiony feel and shine of a gloss.
It’s the kind of formula that’s perfect for nudes! Like this beauty, Buttery Nude. It’s a warm pinky beige with lots of shine and a faint sweet, candy scent. The color is very wearable and it looks amazing against my skin tones. It’s a great everyday kind of nude that you can slip on without a liner and still look great.
Buttery Nude has a slightly thick, tacky texture but it’s easy to apply and spread across the lips. It’s not really sticky so it’s comfortable to wear and it’s lightly moisturizing so it feels good on the lips too. The formula feels like a gloss but the texture is more along the lines of a liquid lipstick. I guess it’s all of that in one!
Buttery Nude wears rather well for around 3-4 hours before fading into a light stain. The color doesn’t settle into my lip lines and it doesn’t emphasize flakes much either. Which is rather impressive for a nude lippie! I wish the NYX Buttery Nude Xtreme Shine Lip Cream was a little easier to find but I enjoy it all the same. It’s definitely worth the buy if you come across it!
