When you’re on the deeper end of the spectrum brown eyeliners are nothing to get excited over. They’re usually too light or blend in with my skin tone so I’ve never cared for them too much. Until I came across the NARS Via De’ Martelli Larger Than Life eyeliner. It’s the ONLY brown eyeliner I use!

I actually love it so much that it’s hit holy grail status. That’s how good it is! Via De’ Martelli is a deep brown with slight red undertones that’s dark enough for us brown gals. It’s an excellent liner for smoking out the eyes a bit. You can easily use Via De’ Martelli as a base for a sultry smokey eye or smudge it along your bottom lid/waterline for a little added drama.

Via De’ Martelli applies smoothly and evenly with no tugging or dragging and intense pigmentation. The Larger Than Life formula is creamy but a little stiffer than most eyeliners so it tends to feel a little drier but it also lasts forever on my watery eyes. I get well over 10 hours of wear before I notice any slight fading or smudging. I hate that I had to fall in love with probably the most expensive brown eyeliner I could find ($24) but I wouldn’t trade this baby for the world! It takes my everyday cat eye from edgy to full on glamorous in a matter of seconds. I can’t get enough of it!
