Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum Review

Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum Review

If you live on the east coast, then you probably know how important it is to protect your skin from the cold. We’ve been getting slammed with snow storms and ice age-like temperatures lately. Which is pretty much a nightmare for makeup lovers. It’s hard to sport a beat face when your skin is all dull, dry and flaky.

Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum Review

That’s why I’ve been obsessed with hydrating primers lately! Like the Hourglass No. 28 Primer Serum. This beauty is actually an old favorite of mine but I decided to break it out when we started experiencing a string of below 0 degree weather here in Michigan. I needed all the extra hydration I could get!

The No. 28 Primer Serum is formulated with a blend of 14 essential oils, 10 lipid-rich plant oils and 4 vitamins to intensely hydrate and treat the skin as it prepares it for makeup. It has a slightly thick, clear gel-like consistency and strong herbal scent that seems to linger for a few minutes. It may irritate those with sensitive noses but it doesn’t bother me at all. I actually like it as it has a nice soothing effect as it absorbs into the skin.

Honestly, I’m not too sure if the No. 28 Primer Serum extends the wear of my makeup since my skin is more dry and lasts all day anyway. However, I definitely think it makes for a great primer! The No. 28 Primer Serum really smooths and plumps the skin creating a subtle blurring effect that minimizes fine lines and pores. It also serves its purpose as a serum too! The formula intensely hydrates the skin and locks in moisture so it keeps me ash and flake free all day while adding a touch of radiance to my dull winter complexion.

This stuff is incredibly pricey but it’s pretty much everything a girl could want in the winter. I appreciate that it keeps my makeup looking smooth, flawless and radiant but what I love the most is that it improves the overall texture of the skin. Since I’ve started using the No. 28 Primer Serum daily my skin is much softer, hydrated and less dull. If your skin is struggling with the winter weather blues I highly recommend heading to Sephora and grabbing a sample of this baby. Your skin will thank me later!
