MAC Isabel & Ruben Toledo Haul & Swatches

image

I just love a good MAC collection! And the Isabel & Ruben Toledo collection is a good collection! It’s filled with beautiful blushes, lipsticks and more all wrapped in the prettiest packaging I’ve seen since Alluring Aquatic. Great job MAC and Toledos!

Similar to Alluring Aquatic, I had my mind set on 2 simple picks. “Just Oxblood lipstick and Ripe Peach blush,” I told myself. But in true makeup junkie fashion I’ve been slowly adding more things to my Nordstrom cart. Mostly because the products are pretty amazing but also because I’m seriously in love with the packaging! It has a rubbery matte texture (simiar to NARS) and the art deco design is just stunning. This collection looks like pure art on my vanity!

And just look how beautiful Ripe Peach and Oxblood are! I have to admit. I was a little nervous ordering Ripe Peach and Oxblood because I was worried they may be too pale for my complexion. But I’m digging them!

So far, I haven’t tried Oxblood on the lips yet (will update soon!) but it swatched very well. It’s a warm peachy pink nude with a creamy matte finish. The color is actually much darker than I was expecting but I’m more than pleased with how it looks on my brown skin.

Even though I already own Ocean City ombre blush I just had to order Ripe Peach! I joined the makeup game a little too late and missed the original release so I was pumped to finally get my hands on it this time around.

But when I swatched it I was disappointed. It looked pale, sheer and chalky. No good! However, I decided to try it on anyway. Ocean City didn’t swatch all that great either so I was hoping it would perform better on the cheeks. It did! I actually LOVE Ripe Peach! I applied it to my bare skin using my Elf Blush Brush and it showed up just fine on my skin. I thought it’d be more of a peachy orange but it pulls more of a soft, reddish coral on me with a luminous sheen. I’m completely surprised to see that it’s still available online at Nordstrom! Actually most of the Isabel & Ruben Toledo collection is still available at Nordstrom minus Oxblood lipstick and Chlorafill eyeliner I believe. Now would be a good time to snap things up! Or you could head to your local store/counter to check everything out in person. It’s worth a look!

The peach colors won’t work on me, but love the ombre design of Ripe Peach. And the packaging is so whimsical looking. I ordered the Lipgloss in Opera and can’t wait for it to come!

Opera lipglass looks beautiful! Have you checked out the other blushes in the collection though? There’s a red and pink one too that you may like

Yes, they very look pretty, but I have so many blushes right now, that I’m putting a hold on buying anymore until I put a dent into them!

That’s actually a good idea. I need to do that lol

I was in the Bahamas this past weekend and was able to snag the last Oxblood lipglass they had in stock! I haven’t had a chance to try it on yet but I’m ecstatic!
