Revlon HD Garnet Lip Lacquer Review
Don’t you hate when you’re in a rush to walk out the door? You’re on edge. Scrambling around. Grabbing stuff left and right. But the worst part? You’re forgetting stuff! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left something in an effort to make it out of the house in a dash. It’s crazy annoying!
The last time it happened, I rushed right out of the house (while putting on earrings) totally forgetting I wasn’t wearing anything on my lips. Not even a balm! Thank goodness I’m always leaving random lippies in my purse. Like the handy dandy Revlon HD Garnet Lip Lacquer. It’s a great toss on and go gloss. Perfect for divas on the go!
HD Garnet is a muted mauve pink with a soft sheen and faint sweet vanilla scent. It’s an incredibly easy to wear color that’ll flatter a variety of skin tones. On my complexion, it makes for a great everyday fall pink.
HD Garnet has a slightly thick, tacky texture but it applies smoothly and evenly with intense pigmentation and feels quite nice on the lips. It isn’t exactly hydrating but I was able to skip the balm and wear this beauty all day with no worries. I know thicker glosses aren’t for everyone but I really enjoyed HD Garnet. The formula slightly clings to the lips making it feel all plush and cushion-y. I just love that!
I also love how well HD Garnet performs! It wears rather comfortably for around 2-4 hours before fading into a light stain and plays well with my drier lips. It didn’t emphasize flakes much at all or settle into lip lines. I did experience some slight bleeding and feathering but it was very easy to control. Just don’t apply too much! Or grab a lip liner. That always helps too!
Honestly, I picked up the Revlon HD Lip Lacquers on a whim but if HD Garnet is any indication of what’s to come then I’m quite impressed! HD Garnet is not only a beautiful color but the formula is great for dry lips or gals who like a little sheen with their lip color. I totally recommend it!
