Black Opal Fantasia Plum Color Splurge Luxe Creme Lipstick Review

Black Opal Fantasia Plum Color Splurge Luxe Cream Lipstick

The cold weather is finally starting to break here in Michigan so you know what that means. Time to shed those vampy lips! I know, I know. It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday (word to Boyz II Men) but Black Opal is giving you a way to ease into bright lips without quitting cold turkey.

I’ll always be a sucker for berry lips no matter what season it is so I have a great appreciation forĀ a new found lipstick in my collection, Fantasia Plum. Fantasia Plum is a deepened wine with a slight purple undertone and creamy satin finish. You can easily slip this baby on in the spring or summer for a sexy night out on the town. Yeah, it’s that kind of lipstick.

Like Jazzberry, Fantasia Plum glides onto the lips with ease leaving behind plenty of color, a soft sheen and a sweet candy scent. Fantasia Plum is a little creamier than Jazzberry due to the creme formula (vs “matte”) but it wasn’t slippery at all. It has a lightweight texture that’s quite easy on the lips.

Fantasia Plum wears rather comfortably for around 4-5 hours before fading into a nice berry stain. The color didn’t emphasize flakes or settle into lip lines and I didn’t experience any bleeding or feathering either. I don’t know about you but I’ve been pretty impressed with drugstore lippies lately! I’ve been coming across quite a few gems and Fantasia Plum is certainly one of them. I highly recommend it!

Oh my, that is a gorgeous plum berry! I totally agree that you can find some great drugstore lippies, to the point where I don’t really have to buy HE lippies anymore, unless the color is so unique or great that it’s worth the higher price

That’s exactly how I’ve been feeling lately! I’ve underestimated drugstore lipsticks but they’ve improved greatly over the years
