Milani Color Statement Matte Lipstick Roundup + Giveaway-CLOSED!
There’s been a ton of nice spring releases this year but one of my favorites is the new Milani Color Statement Matte Lipsticks. They popped up in stores earlier this year sporting 8 new, shiny permanent shades in a creamy, easy to wear matte finish for just $6.
Of course, I’m a big fan of the beautifully rich colors but I just love the formula too! The Color Statement Matte Lipsticks are some of the best mattes I’ve come across in a while. They’re all creamy with a lightweight texture, full coverage and a sweet vanilla scent. None of them felt drying and most shades were pretty easy to work with.
Matte Innocence is a warm pinky beige that seems better suited for fairer beauties with smooth lips. This shade is terribly unforgiving and settles into lip lines and emphasizes flakes. It wears for around 2-3 hours.
Matte Blissful is a cool baby pink that’ll work well for a variety of complexions. Deeper complexions may want to pair it with a deeper liner for definition though. The color is a bit more forgiving than Matte Innocence but I still recommend thoroughly prepping your lips before wear. It lasts for around 3-4 hours.
Matte Naked is a warm rosy pink with brown undertones that’s the perfect nude lipstick for my complexion. It’s hands down my most favorite shade from this collection as it’s incredibly easy to wear and doesn’t really highlight imperfections. It wears for around 3-4 hours.
Matte Diva is a cool, bright hot pink that’s extremely beautiful on WOC but very high maintenance. It tends to emphasize flakes and settle into lip lines considerably so I recommend lining your lips (entirely) with a lip liner for the best results. It lasts for around 3-4 hours.
Matte Orchid is a cool magenta that’s a little more forgiving than Matte Diva. It does showcase imperfections but it’s not as noticeable from a comfortable distance. It wears for around 3-5 hours.
Matte Glam is a cool muted grape that’s incredibly easy to wear. It applies well and looks great on the lips. No lip liner required! It wears for around 6-7 hours.
Matte Passion is a vibrant tangerine orange with a slight red undertone. it’s another shade that’s pretty fuss free and doesn’t require much maintenance at all. It lasts for around 5-6 hours.
Matte Confident is a cool blue red that’s perhaps one of my favorite red lipsticks. Surprisingly, the color is very low maintenance and it’s flattering on a variety of complexions. It wears for around 5-7 hours.

I finally found a foundation that works for me- a small miracle. Nars Inner Glow. I have pretty oily skin, but what do you know– it’s fantastic!
NARS foundations are amazing! Certainly worth the price. I already own 2 but I still want to try the new one lol
If you do try the new one- please blog about it. I am curious. One other question- have you ever tried milk of magnesia to control shine? I have tried it as a mask and it worked pretty well, but I am a little afraid of what it would be like under foundation. I have also heard Monistat as primer?!

I adore Matte Naked!!!!! My current fav is a Rimmel – Provocalips in “kiss fatal”! 🙂 These are such beautiful bold colors!!!
Me too! It’s become my go to everyday lipstick. I still have to try those Rimmel lippies. I keep forgetting I have them lol
I bought another one – but the quality isn’t as good. Go for the darker ones.. an put it on generously . It may feel sticky for a bit, but it will dry. I bought the pink one that is supposed to be shiny and it is virtually invisible – not worth the money. C-!!! As Karen @ BB would say! LOL
I need a new concealor, I’ve been using IT Bye Bye undereye concealer but it sinks into the creases underneath my eye. Any suggestions?
Ahh I have that problem as well and it’s very annoying. So far, I’ve had the best luck with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

The current collection I’m trying to finish is the maybelling creamy matte lipsticks. These are one of the best matte lipsticks in drugstore hands down. As for any hauls I’ve been buying the Revlon lipsticks and their foundations. Their foundations have good finishes
I hate to say it in light of recent events but Revlon makes some really great foundations. I used ColorStay and Photo Ready when I first got into makeup and they’re pretty nice. I love Nearly Naked though. It’s one of my faves! Those Maybelline mattes really impressed me too. Especially the darker shades. They perform better than some of my MAC mattes lol
I’ve been wanting to collect these new milani matte lipsticks so far Ive bought mattenaked and matte confident these are also one of the best drugstore matte lipsticks. Very pigmented and ever since I started college last semester I’ve become a complete makeup junkie and the milani collection is on my list.
Lol you’re going to live at the Milani stand! It was one of the first brands I tried when I started getting into makeup and I’ve been hooked ever since. You should the blushes and liners next!

Just now getting into matte lipsticks and I love Milani and their lipsticks, I was lucky enough to get Matte Confident which is my current favorite . Very beautiful and non-drying
