New Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks!
I’ve been dying to show you guys this haul but I’ve been so backed up on lippie reviews that I just kept waiting. And waiting. Until eventually I just couldn’t take it anymore. I have to show you these lipsticks! ‘Cause you can never have too many matte lipsticks, right?
Jordan recently released a new line of Modern Matte Lipsticks which they describe as:
A winning combination of high payoff pigments and special ingredients that comfortably extend the wear. Expertly selected shades have an all day wear without the typical ‘dry lip’ finish that feathers and cracks.
There’s currently 18 shades ranging from nude to pink to purple. I picked up 7 of them including:
- Matte Pretty
- Matte Bare
- Matte Classy
- Matte Frappuccino
- Matte Popular
- Matte It Girl
- Matte Dare
So far, I’ve only tried on It Girl and it didn’t seem too bad at all for a $3 lipstick. The application could be a little better but the color looked really nice on my lips. I can’t speak on the formula too much as I’ve only tried it once but It Girl reminds me a bit of MAC’s Retro Matte formula which may or may not be a good thing depending on how you feel about super matte lips. I’ll try to toss it into rotation (along with another shade or two) so I can give you guys a better picture of what to expect from these babies. In the meantime, enjoy the swatches!

4 Thoughts to “New Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks!”
I have to check these out!!!! I like matte frappuccino!
I really like that one too! It has that cool 90s vibe going on that I like lol
I heard people raving about these, so I got Matte Bare and Matte Classy. Nice colors, but I think I got a bad batch because they were dry and dragged on the lips, even after I scraped off the top layers. I do hope your experience is better than mine.
You know what? Matte It Girl dragged a bit on me too. It wasn’t terribly stiff and didn’t really feel drying but I’ll have to try it again soon to be sure. There’s definitely some mixed reviews out there though so I’m starting to think it may be a quality control issue. I noticed even during swatching some shades felt a little creamier than the others
