L’Oreal Purple Prelude Extraordinaire Lip Color Review
I just love lipsticks. Especially matte lipsticks. But one thing I’ve learned throughout the years is that matte lipsticks and retail/customer service don’t mix. All that talking will leave your lips looking crazy after a few hours. I don’t like it one bit! So I try to stick to glosses that are moisturizing, pigmented and long lasting.
The L’Oreal Extraordinaire Lip Colors are exactly that–nicely pigmented, ultra comfortable and pretty long lasting for a gloss. I hauled Purple Prelude sometime ago but decided to pull it out when I got tired of rocking my Nanacoco gloss. It’s a muted mauve purple that pulls almost lavender on me. I really love the color! Purple Prelude is a beautiful purple gloss that’s perfect for year round but it’s especially pretty in the spring.
The formula is really great too! Purple Prelude has a slightly thick, plush gel like texture that glides onto the lips with semi-opaque coverage and a sweet grape scent. It’s pretty moisturizing and comfortable to wear as it doesn’t ever feel sticky or tacky. Purple Prelude is also very forgiving on my dry lips. It doesn’t emphasize flakes or settle into lip lines. I didn’t experience any bleeding or feathering either.
Purple Prelude wears like a dream for around 3-4 hours before leaving behind a juicy lavender stain and soft lips. Whether you work in retail/customer service or an office Purple Prelude is a great gloss to have in your makeup bag. I highly recommend it!
