NYX Feline High Voltage Lipstick Review
I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve done a lipstick review. I seriously miss it! If I could spend the rest of my life playing in lipstick I’d be one happy camper. It’s just something about lipstick that puts me in a good mood. The latest lipstick to lift my spirits is the NYX Feline High Voltage Lipstick. It’s all sexy and vampy!
I know I told you to shelf those vampy lipsticks for spring buuuuut you should have ignored me. Crazy girl! ‘Cause some days vampy lips are just fitting. Like today for instance. It was pretty warm out but gloomy. I wasn’t in a bright lip mood but I was dying to wear some lipstick after my recent gloss binge.
So I slipped on Feline, a beautiful blackened burgundy-wine with a sweet candy scent and creamy satin finish. While I’m not the biggest fan of the NYX High Voltage Lipstick packaging (it’s cheap and flimsy) these beauties apply and wear like a dream!
Feline applies smoothly, evenly and precisely (thanks to the fine slant tip) with a lightweight creamy texture and full coverage in a single swipe. It’s hands down one of the most comfortable vampy lipsticks but it isn’t completely flawless. Feline has a knack for getting a little messy if you aren’t careful. I didn’t really experience any feathering but it will quickly migrate out of those lip lines if you don’t prep with a primer or liner your lips all over first.
Other than that, Feline is a treat to wear! It lasts for around 3-5 hours before leaving behind an intense stain and soft lips. I think Feline–along with the rest of the High Voltage gang–are a steal for the price and a must have in your collection. I definitely recommend picking up a shade or two the next time you head to Ulta!
