Rimmel Provocalips Kiss Proof Lip Color Haul & Swatches
Don’t you just love going through your stash and finding cool, new products? Sure, it means you probably have a slight problem. But there’s nothing like coming across new makeup that you completely forgot about. When I picked up 3 of the 10 new Rimmel Provocalips 16HR Kiss Proof Lip Colors it was still snow on the ground lol. Somehow, these lip colors have gotten pushed deep into my stash (re: tossed in a bag full of new makeup) but they have miraculously resurfaced for some swatching. Let us welcome them!
The new Rimmel Provocalips 16HR Kiss Proof Lip Colors boasts:
Up to 16 hours of lip liberation. Wild without a trace! Kiss proof, transfer proof, food proof high impact endless color. No tight feeling or dry lips. Lips feel smooth and moisturized all day long.
I currently own:
- 230 Kiss Fatal
- 310 Little Minx
- 730 Make Your Move
The Rimmel Provocalips Kiss Proof Lip Colors appeared right in the middle of the liquid lipstick craze but it seems these beauties are more of a lip stain than a liquid lipstick. They feature a dual end design–one side to drench lips in color and another to lock it in and add shine.
For the best application, Rimmel recommends applying the color and keeping the lips apart for about 60 seconds until the product sets. Next, apply the top coat to lock the color, moisture and add shine. Simple, right? I haven’t tried the Provocalips Kiss Proof Lip Colors yet but I’ll keep you posted with a full review soon!
Make Your Move, Little Minx and Kiss Fatal
I have several of these shades but have some mixed feelings about them, but curious to see what your experience is like
What do you think of them?
Some of the colors were very nice, but the clear balm has strong chemical smell/taste, so I was kind of turned off. The color wears well if I’m just sipping water/tea or eating a light meal, but if I eat something oily, it will wear off. Now the problem is that when it wears off, it doesn’t wear or stain evenly, can leave a ring of color around the outer lip line, while the inner lip is bare (not a good look). AND re-applying is really hard, as it can look cakey and uneven if I just slap more color on top. I have to scrub almost all of the color off my lips (ouch), then re-apply. I’m not sure if it’s just me, because 95% of the online reviewers love this product. I have the MUFE Aqua Rouges and I like them better, but they are a lot more expensive. But in general, I prefer a regular lipstick that stains well, then I just re-apply or touch up.
Ugh I hate when lipsticks wear away like that! It looks especially bad when you already have dry lips and lots of fine lines. I’ve seen a lot of good reviews which drew me in but I think I’ll be testing these at home to be on the safe side lol
Never heard of these before. Can’t wait to see what you think of them. =o
I’ll be sure to keep ya posted!
