Have You Ever Repurchased Any Beauty Products?

Every so often, us makeup junkies do a magical thing: finish a product. Whenever I hit pan on something it’s like a celebration. I’m always buying and trying new things so it’s a tiny miracle when I finally finish a product. And I know I can’t be the only one! So we’re gonna keep it pushing with this beauty challenge and talk about the beauty products we’ve repurchased. I’ll kick things off. Here’s a rundown of all the products I’ve repurchased:

MAC Heroine Lip Pencil You’d think I would have finished this beauty but nope! I bought this lip liner when it was first released (and limited edition) so I was completely heartbroken when it disappeared from my work bag one day. Honestly, I could have cried. I love Heroine liner so much! So when MAC finally rereleased this baby in the Pencilled In Collection I was all over it.

MAC Fashion Boost Pro Longwear Lip Pencil is another lip liner that magically disappeared out of my work bag. Cue the side eye. But luckily, this baby was permanent at the time (I think it still may be) and was still in stock so I rushed to grab another one. A girl can’t be without her purple lip liner!

MAC Heroine Lipstick As you can see, this was a rather bad time for me and MAC lippies because Heroine too randomly disappeared out of my purse one day. This time, I thought it may have rolled around my truck somewhere after one too many purse falls. I searched and searched for about a week before finally giving up and doing a Back to MAC for another tube. I still haven’t found my original tube to this day!

Dior Addict Lip Glow never got lost thank goodness! I actually went through about 3 tubes of this stuff. I loooooove it! It’s hydrating, has a faint sweet, floral scent and gives the lips a subtle pink tint that’s customized just for you. It’s pricey but well worth the splurge!

Nivea A Kiss of Moisture Essential Lip Care has become my go to balm. It’s just as hydrating as my Lip Glow but the packaging isn’t nearly as fancy, of course. I still like a lot though and keep a tube on my vanity, in my purse and in my work bag.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick Remember when I said it was a bad time for me and MAC lippies? Yeah, this was another lipstick that I lost. Except this time it disappeared right from my vanity! Dun dun dunnnn. I’m clearly haunted by a pretty fly ghost. Anywho. I don’t really do reds but I had to replace Viva Glam Rihanna because it was limited edition and I was right in the middle of testing it for you guys. So like a good beauty blogger I hauled my ass back to the counter to get another one. Because I love ya. :-*

Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil has been a staple in my skincare routine for years now. It’s a little thick but it’s crazy hydrating and really nourishes the skin while giving it a lit from within glow. I love to mix it with my moisturizer during the winter for added hydration and extra protection.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Refreshing Elixir My mom actually bought this spray and had been using it for a while before I stumbled upon it. It’s formulated with a ton of good stuff like shea butter, argan oil, sea kelp and more. My hair just loves this stuff! It’s moisturizing and it makes my hair super shiny. And it smells soo good too!

Jamaican Mango & Lime Jamaican Black Castor Oil is the bomb for thick, curly hair! Although I’m relaxed, I still use this stuff for everything because my hair is very thick and still pretty curly. This stuff whips it right into shape with it’s thick, sticky texture and hold. My favorite way to use Jamaican Black Castor Oil is as a sealant after moisturizing. You can learn more about moisturizing and sealing here.

Chanel Lait Confort Creamy Cleansing Milk is just an all around excellent cleanser. It’s very gentle yet it really removes dirt and makeup. There’s no stinging eyes and my face doesn’t feel tight or dry afterwards. It’s set me back a few dollars but I love keeping a bottle on hand.

Philosophy Purity Made Simple is another cleanser that’s been a staple in my collection for years. Like the Chanel Cleansing Milk, Purity is very simple and doesn’t irritate my eyes or sensitive skin. But it features a gentle lather that removes dirt and makeup too. I also love to use it on my makeup brushes. It gets them squeaky clean and leaves them feeling soft and smelling good.

Loved reading your empties! So many tempting skin products… which probably wouldn’t work so well for my skin, haha.

I bought an extra NYC Retro Red when mine ran low, repurchased Covergirl’s invisible concealer when mine ran out, and always have to keep a tub of PONDS face cream on hand. That ain’t adding up to much.

Thank you! I can’t believe I haven’t tried any PONDS products yet. The Cold Cream has been a cult favorite for years and I know a couple bloggers who swear by their face creams. I guess that’ll be my next skincare haul lol. Thanks for sharing!

      1. Indeed! I started using it because my mom does, and my mom uses it because a woman she took care of (she’s a nurse) who was in her late 90s still had very youthful skin, and she /slathered/ PONDs on every day. And my mom is 45 and looks closer to 30, so I do swear by it!

No wonder this stuff still has such a large following after decades lol. I need it!!

Having empties is an awesome feeling! I’ve repurchased MAC Freckletone lipstick, NARS blush in Lovejoy, Smashbox Untamed blush, Wet n Wild Megalength mascara, MAC Cork lip liner, Covergirl 3:1 foundation, Maybelline TM, Shea Moisture soufflé, MAC pro long wear concealer, LA Girl pro concealer, and a bunch of Clinique skincare products. Lol…this was fun!

Wow you really get through your products! It’s been forever since I’ve finished a lipstick or even come close lol. I can see how you polished off Lovejoy though. I finally caved and got it a while back after finally swatching it at Sephora. It’s such a nice everyday blush! I’m gonna have to add some of your empties to my shopping list too. I just looked up the Shea Moisture soufflé and it sounds perfect for when I do my knot outs. I also want to try the Maybelline BB Cream and that CoverGirl foundation. I’ve seen a couple of mua saying they swear by it. I have to try it!

Mostly skincare stuff. Kiehl’s ultra facial cleanser (on my 3rd tube), Ren Rosa Centafolia gel cleanser( sadly my skin seems to have gone off it, now that I’m on my second bottle), Mario Badescu Aloe Vera toner, l’oreal volominous millions mascara, Cerave PM moisturizer (3rd or 4th bottle, this is HG stuff), Bioderma, Avene or laroche possay thermal water, Serozinc. The list goes on.

I fell in love with the Cerave AM lotion so I can only imagine how good the night moisturizer is. I’m also a big fan of Mario Badescu products. I tried his enzyme gel cleanser, buttermilk moisturizer, honey moisturizer and that aloe vera toner. All of which are excellent products. Everyone seems to swear by Bioderma so it’s about time I add it to my list too lol. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, can’t believe you lost that many MAC lippie items! Love the “cue the side eye”. For makeup, I hit the pan and repurcahsed MAC blot powder, NYX lippie in B52, and a Clinique brown eyeshadow (used to set my brows until they discontinued it). Otherwise, I have enough makeup to last me 10 years! For skincare, I’ve emptied and repurchased Supergoop Cityserum Sunsceen, Hada Labo Tokyo Hydrating Cleanser, FAB face cream, Carmex Lip Balm SPF 15, Jergens Shea Body Lotion, Shea Moisture Raw Shea Soap, Yes to Coconut Conditioner. I also like the Purity Made Simple cleanser, as it dissolves makeup and sweat really well without drying out the face. And I like the Josie Argan Oil (Light version) for my face.

That was a really tough time for me, man! I lost them all back to back too so I felt like I was losing my mind LOL. You seem to have really great taste in skincare products! I used to love the SM Lemongrass & Ginger soap so I have to try the raw Shea one asap. I’ve been going crazy over SM lately actually. I recently tried the coconut & hibiscus dry oil mist and it’s pure love. It smells soo good and it’s pretty hydrating too. I’m already plotting on getting the larger body oil it’s so good! I definitely want to try that Yes to Coconut conditioner too. My hair loves coconut oil so I have a feeling I’ll like it. Thanks for the great recommendations!

Oh that Shea Moisture Raw Shea Soap is HG for me! I take 2 warm/hot showers a day, and it leaves my skin soft and clean, not dry. Only $5 for a huge bar–I have to cut it in half to hold in my hand! And a half bar will last a couple of months. Unlike other 100% natural soaps that start melting/disappearing after a week, this one stays intact. On its own, it doesn’t lather up much (because of its natural ingredients) but if you rub a body wash net over it, it produces a lot of rich, creamy lather. Hope it works for you!

This sounds perfect for me! My mom and I are pretty much limited to only using Dove and Dial soap because they’re the only brands that don’t wreak havoc on my skin. But I find them both rather drying afterwards. Probably because of all that lather now that I think about it. I bet I’ll love the SM soap! I have to hit CVS today so I’m gonna pick it up. Thanks!!

Actually, a lot of stuff… But not usually color products! 😀

    Mac pro long wear concealer
    Mac black track
    Anastasia brow wiz
Burt’s bees tinted balm in rose
    Loreal loose powder

    Pretty basic haha

    1. fancie

I feel like color products are much harder to use up. It’s easier to commit to the basics (skincare, foundation, concealer, etc) but not so much lipsticks and liners and such lol. A girl’s gotta have options! You’ve finished up a lot of products though. I use gel liner damn near everyday and surprisingly I’ve never finished one. Go figure LOL
