What’s Your Favorite Exfoliator?

The older I get, the more I focus on maintaining a healthy complexion. I’m still pretty young but it’s never too early to pamper your skin and take good care of it so that it still looks good as you age. I want to keep my skin looking as good as it can for as long as possible so I like to take extra steps in my routine like exfoliating. Exfoliating once (or twice) a week helps get rid of all those old dead cells, makeup and dirt that have just been hanging around your skin blocking the new, healthy cells.

I usually like to exfoliate with a nice mask but every now and then I like to bring out my Queen Helene Oatmeal n Honey Natural Facial Scrub. It’s a crazy cheap scrub formulated with oatmeal to gently draw out impurities, unclogs pores and removes dry dead cells as you buff the scrub into your skin. There’s also honey to replenish moisture and help protect the skin from environmental damage. The result is baby soft, smooth skin that’s squeaky clean without the redness, irritation or dryness that most exfoliators can bring. The Oatmeal n Honey Natural Facial Scrub has been a staple in my skincare routine for years because it keeps my dry skin from looking dull and helps my skincare products absorb like no other.

Not big on scrubs, though I use the kiehl’s rare earth cleanser from time to time which has some scrubbing action. I like the Michael Todd fruit acid scrub as well. I mostly rely on a combination of my clarisonic and glycolic acid serums for skin cell turnover.
