Another month, another round of faves! Can you believe we’re already a week into August?! I can’t. It’s like time has just been zipping by me. In the midst of working and trying new goodies I barely noticed just how quickly we inched into August. Before I can really kiss July goodbye I have to share with you all my favorite products I kept in heavy rotation. Let’s get started!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Bronzing Beauty Balm You know I love to glow so I’ve been using this baby under my foundation to give my skin an extra boost in the glow department. This BB Cream adds a nice touch of warmth and radiance while making my skin look nice and smooth too.
Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream I have no idea why my under eye area is soo dry but lately an eye cream has become a must and this is my new favorite. Extra Eye Repair is incredibly rich and hydrating so it plumps up my thirsty eyes and helps with my pesky fine, dry lines. It’s been a lifesaver lately!
Bobbi Brown Extra Balm Rinse This is probably the most hydrating cleanser on the market! It’s very rich like the eye cream but it removes makeup, dirt and oil for super soft, supple clean skin that smells like oranges. It has become my go to nightly cleanser but I’ve also started using it in the morning too because the scent is so refreshing.
Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base This little beauty is quite the multi-tasker! It’s basically a moisturizer and primer in one that hydrates and smoothes the skin so my makeup applies like butter. I love using this on the days my skin needs a little extra moisture or to lightly moisturize after a deep hydrating session with my Balm Rinse.
Urban Decay Bittersweet Revolution Lip Gloss The only color I love more than pink is purple so I always keep Bittersweet on hand for a quick pop of color and to give my lips a little moisture. Sometimes I get tired of rocking nude lips and such to work so I keep Bittersweet in my work bag to shake things up a bit.
Wet n Wild Hollywood Boulevard Shimmer Palette You probably already know how I feel about this highlighting powder! Hollywood Boulevard is a gorgeous shimmering rose gold that looks absolutely amazing without breaking your pockets. I haven’t touched any of my fancy pants highlighters since I’ve started using this baby.
MAC Fix+ I’ve been using this stuff for years to do pretty much everything under the kitchen sink. It’s no wonder I’m running low on both my full and travel sized bottles. I use Fix+ before applying my makeup hydrate and prep my skin, during application to help powders apply more smoothly and after to help my makeup look nice and natural.
Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Powder I’ll always love my liquid foundations but since I’ve started my new job this is all I reach for. The formula offers great coverage and requires very little blending so it’s a great grab and go foundation for when I’m in a rush. Which is almost always lol. After applying a little primer, I mist a little Fix+ all over my face, stipple on a little powder, quick buff and go. Easy peasy!
Chanel Precision Lip Definer 54 Amarante Now that I’ve been rocking nude lips more often I like to keep a complementary lip liner in my workbag for easy access. Amarante has been my go to nude lip liner because it’s works for a variety of colors and helps my nude lip looks blend seamlessly. I’ve paired it with everything from Maybelline Nude Nuance to Too Faced Melted Peony. I hate that it’s been discontinued!
Maybelline Nude Nuance Color Sensational Matte Lipstick While I miss sporting bold pinks and purples I have to admit that Nude Nuance has made my transition into nude lips a little easier. It’s a wildly flattering brown-pink that’s super easy to wear and holds up quite well too. I always keep it in my workbag for lip emergencies since it’s so fuss free.
What were some of your favorite products last month?
One Thought to “Fancie Faves”
I’m with you on that UD Bittersweet Gloss. And Maybelline Nude Nuance was a big surprise ! I normally don’t go for nude shades (they usually give me zombie lips) but it’s so pretty and easy to wear
