Goodbye August, hello September! I’m not all too excited about winter nipping at my butt anytime soon but I am getting a teeny tiny bit excited for the oversized, warm comfy sweaters and boots that fall brings. And the vampy lipsticks and new collections! Fall always means new makeup. Don’t argue just accept it. There’s so many new products and collections right around the corner (plus holiday) that I’m trying to use up everything in sight to help make room. Here’s what I reached for the most this month:

Urban Decay Bittersweet Revolution Lip Gloss is slowly creeping into holy grail status. The cool, carefree purple hue is perfect and it feels nice and plush on the lips too. Added bonus? I always receive compliments when I wear it. Makes me want to wear it even more LOL!

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Blur Primer This primer has been heaven in a bottle for my fine, dry line woes! I’ve been using it religiously because it smoothes out my complexion, adds radiance plus blurs and plumps my fine lines to keep foundation and concealer from falling into them. I’m already almost halfway through the bottle. It’s really good!

Milani Matte Beauty Color Statement Lipstick When you work for Bobbi Brown, you get accustomed to rocking a nude lip real quick. My flavor of the month was the new Milani Matte Beauty Color Statement Lipstick. It’s an excellent nude lip for WOC and the formula is so easy to wear too.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara Nothing sets off a smokey eye or winged liner like flirty bottom lashes and that’s exactly what Smokey Eye Mascara does. It delivers length, volume and curl without really looking like I’m wearing mascara. I can literally layer it on before it starts to clump and look spider leg-y.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Makeup Remover Taking off my makeup is simple and soothing thanks to my Long-Wear Makeup Remover mini. This stuff gently removes waterproof and long-wear formulas without drying out my skin or irritating it. It actually leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth — not to mention makes cleansing much more easier.

Lancome Bi-Facil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover My eyes are watery all year around and all day long so I rely on waterproof, smudge-proof and budge-proof formulas to get me through the day. Bi-Facil removes pretty much everything without stinging or irritating my eyes and conditioning them.

Shea Moisture African Black Soap Problem Skin Facial Mask I may not have problem skin but this mask has worked wonders to keep my annoying breakouts at bay. I use it once or twice a week (depending on my skin) and my small bumps instantly begin to clear up. My skincare products also absorb and perform so much better after using it, too.

Maybelline Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner I don’t usually like liquid liners but pens like this make lining quick and easy which is exactly what I need in the morning. The tip is a little long but I can still create a cat eye in a flash and it’ll last me all day without smudging, transferring or flaking off.
