Makeup Must Have: MAC Prep + Prime Fix+

MAC Prep + Prime Fix+

The only thing better than makeup? Makeup infused with skincare. You get to perfect your skin all while making yourself look pretty. Win, win! It’s always nice to have a thing or two in your stash that actually benefits your skin instead of clogging your pores and causing breakouts. One of my favorite wonder products is the MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ spray. It’s a vitamin and mineral enriched water mist with a blend of green tea, chamomile and cucumber designed to hydrate, soothe and refresh skin, and finish makeup.

Basically, Fix+ does it all while feeling oh so good and refreshing. It has a light clean, crisp scent and a fine mist that lightly hydrates my skin and boosts radiance. Fix+ has been a staple in my routine for years because it’s soothing and extremely versatile. I use this stuff all kinds of ways. I use it before applying my foundation to help it apply smoothly and blend like a dream without falling into my dry, fine lines. I also spritz a little on top of my makeup to help it look more natural and give my foundation a more skin-like finish. From time to time, I like to spray a little onto my eyeshadow brush before applying glittery shadows to minimize fallout and maximize the shimmer factor. There’s literally a million ways you can use this stuff!

As you can see, I’ve already gone through almost 2 bottles of the stuff and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. I’ll always love my NYX setting sprays but Fix+ will always have a place in my stash because the ingredients are totally worth it and it feels amazing. I’m slightly salty I missed out on the limited edition “flavors” MAC recently released but I’ll be happily ordering another full sized bottle of this stuff very soon!

Would you recommend using fix+ instead of a face primer? I don’t have trouble with controlling oil or shine, I only wear primers so my makeup can look smoother and last longer so do you think this spray alone would be able to do that?

    1. It won’t help it last longer but it’ll definitely help moisturize and prep your skin for a smoother application
