SnapChat Story: Bobbi Brown Telluride Collection for Fall 2015
Happy Monday, makeup junkies! Time to shake those pesky Monday blues and perk up your mood with a lil’ makeup porn. My awesome new counter manager, Jennie, and I spent the other day bouncing around the counter like 2 giddy kids at a candy store after receiving the shipment of the brand spankin’ new Greige Collection for fall. Goodness, everything is so gorgeous!
But before we could jump right and play we had to break down the Telluride Collection display and put it away. That was a really bittersweet feeling because, man, that was one beautiful collection! The Telluride Collection featured shades of tawny nude, rose gold and pink bronze that are all incredibly wearable and flattering on pretty much all complexions.
The collection was inspired by Bobbi’s recent vacation to Colorado where she soaked up the late afternoon sun in Telluride and the gorgeous glow it casts on the skin. She figured the warm tawny shades would be perfect for late summer and fall so she weaved them into a collection featuring eyeshadow, blush and more.
The star of the show was, of course, the limited edition Telluride Eyeshadow Palette which features a double ended Eye Shadow/Eye Liner Brush and 7 neutral shadows including:
- Cream Eye Shadow warm white
- Woodrose Eye Shadow brownish pink
- Velvet Plum Metallic Eye Shadow black plum shimmer
- Blazing Star Sparkle Eye Shadow sheer pink gold sparkle
- Heather Rose Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow warm pink shimmer
- Antique Rose Eye Shadow rosy brown
- Smokey Brown Eye Shadow rich smokey brown
I’ve been eyeing it ever since I first got hired but it wasn’t until I did a smokey eye lesson on a client that left me feeling like I had to have it. The shimmering shades were poppin’ and the mattes were blendable and super easy to work with. My favorite shades are Velvet Plum, Blazing Star, Antique Rose and Smokey Brown.
Then there’s the limited edition cheek goodies which are just as beautiful as the palette. And right up my alley! There’s 2 new Pot Rouge shades in this collection:
- Telluride warm mauve (for medium to deep complexions)
- Maui pink coral (for fair to medium complexions)
For some strange reason, we still haven’t received Maui but we finally got a few of the Telluride Pot Rouges in last week and, naturally, I want one. It looks really brown in the pan but it has a slight tinge of mauve-y pink that makes it totally wearable and probably the most natural blush you’ll come across for WOC. I’ll swatch it for you this week!
Last but certainly not least, is the new (and limited edition) Sunset Pink Shimmer Brick Compact. It’s a gorgeous shimmering soft rose gold that’s flattering on a variety of complexions and works as a highlighting powder or glammed out eyeshadow palette. It’s one of the first pieces people stopped to “ooh” and “ahh” over and also another item on my list. It may be a little too shimmery for oily skin or gals with larger pores but I still recommend checking it out if your local Bobbi Brown counter still has it out. Sunset Pink has a glow that’s to die for!
