What Are Your Nighttime Essentials?

Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 Calming Cleansing Solution, Chanel Lotion Douceur Gentle Hydrating Toner, Chanel Lait Confort Creamy Cleansing Milk, Bobbi Brown Extra Balm Rinse Cleanser

I used to be a bit of a slacker when it came to nighttime cleansing but now I’m much more diligent about keeping up with a nighttime skincare routine to keep my skin looking its best. Now that I’m sporting a full face of makeup 5 days of week it’s important that I remove all traces of makeup and dirt before crashing because the last thing I need is a face full of breakouts. So not cute!

Before, I would just grab a makeup wipe and go to bed but now I actually take the time out to thoroughly cleanse my skin. Here’s my current nighttime essentials:

Bobbi Brown Extra Balm Rinse Cleanser This is a new product to my routine but I’ve been digging it a lot lately because it’s an extremely rich, thick hydrating cleanser that deep cleanses without stripping the skin. It also has a yummy, refreshing citrus scent and leaves my skin feeling so soft and hydrated that I don’t have to follow up with a moisturizer if I’m too tired.

Vichy Purete Thermal 3-in-1 Cleansing Solution Micellar waters have been gaining popularity lately and it’s for a good reason. These babies are great for nighttime cleansing! Whenever I feel like I’ve just endured the longest day ever and can’t bare to stand another minute I’ll remove most my makeup with a wipe and then follow up with a few Shiseido cotton pads soaked in this stuff to remove every trace of makeup and dirt. No sink needed. I also like to use it as an eye makeup remover before cleansing or a gentle toner after cleansing to make sure my face is squeaky clean before bed.

Chanel Lotion Douceur Gentle Hydrating Toner This toner has been a staple in my routine for years because it gently removes all the leftover makeup and dirt my cleanser missed without irritating my sensitive skin. Plus, it’s pretty hydrating too so it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple–resulting in me using less eye cream and moisturizer after cleansing.

Chanel Lait Confort Creamy Cleansing Milk This cleanser is another lazy girl’s dream as it’s a makeup remover and gentle cleanser in one. Massage this stuff into your dry skin and it instantly starts to break down even the toughest of makeup and dirt. Once I add a little water and rinse, my skin looks and feels clean without that tight, dry feeling most cleansers can have. And I know it gets my skin super clean because my cotton pads are almost always dirt and makeup free when I tone.

You’ll notice I skipped the moisturizer, eye cream and lip treatment because I switch them up regularly depending on my skin’s needs that day. If my skin isn’t feeling too dry, I’ll follow up with my Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream on my eyes and face after cleansing and toning. Then, I’ll apply a little of my Nivea A Kiss of Moisture balm or Yes to Coconut lip oil for soft lips in the morning. If I need a little extra hydration, I’ll apply my Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream, Josie Maran Argan Oil and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream. For extra dry lips, I apply my hydrating Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask for overnight conditioning.
