As I Am Leave-In Conditioner Review

As I Am Naturally Leave-In Conditioner

Bunning ain’t easy! Is it convenient? Hell yes. Most times I just wash my hair, let it air dry a bit, toss it in a bun and barely touch it for a week. Is it easy to create? Not on your life! Don’t get me wrong. Buns are a seriously simple hairstyle that just about anyone can achieve but it takes a little more work when your hair is long, thick and curly. I rely on 3 essential ingredients to achieve to the perfect bun:

  1. Water
  2. Oil
  3. Leave-In Conditioner

All of them are pretty important but leave-in conditioner is truly the key to a soft, sleek healthy bun. Why? Because it’s all about the moisture baby! Tangles, frizz and split ends are usually a sign that your hair is thirsty and in need of some moisturizing and sealing (read more here). They’re also huge roadblocks in the way of achieving the perfect bun. That’s why I swear by leave-in conditioners. They make great everyday moisturizers and help keep my bun nice and smooth.

My current fave is As I Am Leave-In Conditioner. It’s a lightweight natural water-based conditioner with lots of yummy ingredients like coconut, alma, green tea and more to hydrate, condition and prepare hair for styling. I’ve been using this leave-in conditioner all summer and I’m quite impressed with the way it makes my hair feel. The moment I apply it, my hair feels softer and is so much easier to manage. I’ve used the As I Am Leave-In Conditioner on clean,  soaking wet hair and 3 day old dry bun hair and each time it makes detangling a breeze and leaves my hair feeling so soft and moisturized.

Once my hair is all hydrated and detangled, bunning becomes much less of a hassle as I’m no longer fighting my wig brush or frizz. Thanks to the As I Am Leave-In Conditioner my hair routine has become a little easier. Gotta love that! Whether you’re natural or relaxed, I think this natural based leave-in conditioner makes for a great moisturizer and bunning aid. I highly recommend checking it out the next time you hit your local drugstore, superstore or beauty supply.
