Soft, Smooth Skin with Shea Moisture

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Soap, Dry Oil Mist, Bath, Body & Massage Oil

Goodbye dry skin, hello Shea Moisture! After listening to my makeup buddy, Katherine, I decided to venture into Shea Moisture’s bath and body line by trying one of their famous soaps, Dry Oil Mist and Bath, Body & Massage Oil. This stuff is gold! It’s all formulated with:

  • Coconut Oil to nourish and help firm skin with Vitamins E and K, iron and fatty acids
  • Hibiscus Flower as a natural emollient to treat dry, rough skin and help improve skin tone
  • Songyi Mushroom to naturally brighten and even skin tone

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Soap

After the Coconut & Hibiscus Dry Oil Mist became a skincare essential I decided to try the coordinating soap to see if it would leave my skin even more hydrated. And it did! The Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Soap has a light, clean scent and a rich, luxurious lather that deep cleanses my skin without leaving it feeling tight, dry and stripped. It actually leaves my skin feeling so silky soft, smooth and hydrated. And the best part? It’s been improving the texture of my skin too!

The Coconut & Hibiscus line is meant to brighten and tone the skin and I definitely notice a difference in both radiance and firmness (not tightness) of my skin. The most noticeable (and beneficial) difference, however, is that my skin is so much softer and less dry since I’ve stopped using my regular Dial and Dove soaps. I’ve sworn by them for years because they’re the only brands that aren’t too harsh for my sensitive skin but they always left me very dry and scaly. All year round. Since I’ve switched to the Coconut & Hibiscus Shea Butter Soap my skin hasn’t been dry or scaly at all. Even if I’m too tired to follow up with my Dry Oil Mist.

When I told my mom, who’s a budget beauty queen, how much I paid for it ($5) I could hear her gasp LOL. Yes, Shea Moisture soaps are teeny bit pricey. However, they last a pretty long time (couple weeks) and they’re so much better for your skin since they’re formulated with natural and organic ingredients. After finally trying it, she ran to make a post on Facebook about how soft and smooth her skin felt compared to our usual soap. It’s even mom approved!

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Bath, Body & Massage Oil

Since I was already feeling 2 of the products in the Coconut & Hibiscus line I figured the third one would be a charm too — and it was. Shea Moisture really knows how to treat a girl! Like the soap, the Bath, Body & Massage Oil has a rich, luxurious texture that’s extremely hydrating and smells sooo delicious. There’s a light, sweet coconut floral scent that’s warm, refreshing and inviting. It also absorbs into the skin so it lingers for a while which I really love. I’m always sure to wash up before bed so my sheets can smell like a tropical garden in the morning when I wake up LOL.

My favorite way to use this stuff is when I’m still wet from washing up. I’ll rub in a generous amount and then gently towel off for soft, supple skin that lasts me all day. Since I’ve switched soaps and started using this body oil I’ve completely laid off body lotion. It just hasn’t been necessary since I’ve swapped out all of those nasty harsh products for a more gentle, natural  routine. My skin has improved greatly since I’ve switched to the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus line.

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Dry Oil Mist

Last but not least, is the little miracle that started it all — the Dry Oil Mist. It’s a lightweight moisturizing mist that can be used on damp or dry skin in place of lotion. I’m almost always pooped when I work nights so I always reach for my Dry Oil Mist to quickly refresh and lightly hydrate my skin. It’s not as thick and hydrating as the Bath, Body & Massage Oil but it’s great for days when you just need something quick and light.

Overall, the Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus bath and body line is pretty darn solid! I absolutely adore all 3 of the products I’ve tried and I’m already looking to add a couple more to my collection. Like the body scrub and body butter. I think my skin would literally turn to silk if I started using the entire line! If you keep walking past all those luscious Shea Moisture products in your local drugstore aisles today is the day you need to stop and pick up something. Anything. Just get your hands on a Shea Moisture skincare product asap!

I’m glad you finally tried more of this Shea Moisture line! The soaps and oils leave my skin so soft and hydrated, none of those synthetic soaps or lotions can compare. I use the C&H Massage Oil in my baby’s bath, she loves the smell. My HG soap is the Raw Shea Butter one -it leaves my skin so soft and a $5 bar lasts like months, even after taking 2 showers a day. I’ve gone through 4 bottles of the C&H Curl & Style Milk -awesome for dry split ends, works SO much better at repairing hair than those synthetic silicone styling creams. Have you tried the Coconut & Hisbiscus Co-Wash Conditioning Cleanser – it’s too heavy for regular use on my hair, but great when my hair is stressed out and super dry.
