A Warm Chocolate Look for Fall

Warm Chocolate Look for Fall

Ahh, fall. You gotta love it. The crisp, cool breeze in the air. Yellow, orange and red leaves cover the ground. And all those yummy shades of bronze and brown can be seen everywhere — making me think of chocolate. Like a creamy hot chocolate loaded with those tiny marshmallows and lots of whipped cream. So delicious!

The warm hues of fall and thoughts of hot chocolate makes me feel all fuzzy inside so I decided to whip up a chocolate inspired look for fall using my deliciously sweet Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes and a few of my current faves.

Warm Chocolate Look for Fall

On my eyes, I used Bobbi Brown’s Golden Pink Long-Wear Cream Shadow, Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette. I used Golden Pink as a base and applied it to my lids slightly above my crease. Next, I swept Peanut Butter from the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette into my crease as a transition shade and layered Cherry Cordial from the Chocolate Bar Palette on top for definition. I then patted Hazelnut (Chocolate Bar Palette) on the lids (on top of Golden Pink) to create a warm shimmering chocolate hue. Next, I lined my eyes using Maybelline Master Precise Ink Eyeliner on my lash line and Milani Supreme Kohl Kajal on the waterline and then smudged Cherry Cordial shadow along my bottom lids. To complete the look, I added my favorite Kiss #11 falsies and Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara to my bottom lashes.

For my face, I primed using Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer and applied Bobbi Brown’s Golden Nude CC Cream to help even out my complexion which I set with my Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Powder Foundation. Next, I color corrected and concealed my under eyes using Bobbi Brown’s Very Deep Bisque Corrector and NARS Amande Radiant Creamy Concealer and then used Soft Honey Sheer Finish Pressed Powder to set.

To highlight and contour, I used Bobbi Brown’s Bronze Glow High Light Powder and Black Radiance Concealer Stick in Dark. Then I applied a little MAC Small Vanity Blush to my cheeks for a natural rosy flush. Finally, I lined my lips with Chanel 54 Amarante lip liner and NYX Vintage Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick to complete my chocolate inspired look for fall.

While I love everything I used for this look, the stars of the show for me are definitely the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palettes and NYX’s Vintage Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick. All of the shadows in the Chocolate Bar Palettes are velvety smooth, pigmented and incredibly blendable. And the smell of chocolate while I play makes the experience even better. They’re my go to palettes these days. Then there’s Vintage which turned out to be perfect “my lips but better” shade. Vintage is a little darker than my natural lip color but I love that it looks super natural and meshes well with any kind of blush or eye look — dramatic or natural. It’s become one my favorite fall lipsticks!

What are some of your favorite fall goodies?
