Bobbi Brown Golden Pink Long-Wear Cream Shadow Review
Morning routines can be super hectic. You have to wash your face, brush your teeth, do your hair, do your makeup, get dressed. It just goes on and on. And so does time. Time seems to slip by twice as fast in the morning. Especially when it’s time to put on some makeup. I often find myself rushing once I hit my vanity and it instantly starts to stress me out.
It’s the moment where I’m trying to eat breakfast, drink coffee and apply my falsies all at once. Don’t laugh. We’ve all done it! LOL! That’s why I’m a huge believer in simplifying my routine here and there. Aka taking shortcuts.
My typical makeup shortcut is a dramatic cat eye when I’m feeling too lazy for eyeshadow. However, crafting the perfect cat eye can take some time. Time that I don’t always have in the mornings. So I’ve using another makeup shortcut: cream shadows. Cream shadow is pretty much a foolproof way to make your eyes stand out in 5 minutes.
My current fave is Bobbi Brown’s Golden Pink Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick. It’s a soft warm gold with a pink undertone and loads of gold and pink micro-glitter. Golden Pink is a gorgeous cream shadow that anyone could wear–from fair to deep. Every time I wear it, I receive tons of compliments and damn near every client I’ve tried it on has loved it. Golden Pink is just so easy to wear!
It glides across the lids with a super creamy, soft texture that’s very easy to blend with your fingers or a synthetic brush. I usually just swipe it on my lids and blend it past my crease using my finger then add liner, falsies and mascara as usual. Done! No brushes or excessive blending necessary and I’m done in about 5 minutes. Falsies included.
Golden Pink has pretty much become holy grail status for me because it’s so easy to wear and pretty versatile too. Even if I have time to create more dramatic eye looks I’ll still pop a little Golden Pink in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up. Or wear it all over my lid as a base for my powder shadows. Golden Pink doesn’t crease or flake (even without primer) for over 10 hours so I find myself reaching for it pretty much all the time.
Whether you’re a cream shadow junkie or always pressed for time I think you should definitely head over to your local Bobbi Brown counter to check out Golden Pink Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick.
