We all have those diva days when our makeup is so flawless and fierce that we don’t want to wash it off. But most times, the best part of the day is taking it all off. Your pants. Your bra. Your makeup. Ahhh, there we go. Sweet relief! It’s that magical time of day when you can finally rub your eyes and stop giving a damn what you look like.

For years, I’ve always used coconut oil to remove my makeup but after joining the Bobbi team i was curious to see how her makeup remover would compare to nature’s version. The Bobbi Brown Instant Long-Wear Makeup Remover is an oil based formula designed to remove waterproof and long-wearing makeup as it conditions and refreshes the skin. It has a lightweight texture similar to coconut oil but it’s a little thicker and sports Bobbi’s signature soothing cucumber-like scent.

Of course, the Instant Long-Wear Makeup Remover is much pricier than a jar of organic coconut oil but I can’t deny that I still love it. It gently removes all of my stubborn waterproof eye makeup, foundation and concealer without stripping my skin or making it feel dry. It does leave behind a greasy residue but it’s pretty much the same feeling I get after a round of coconut oil.

Although Bobbi’s makeup remover is more expensive than coconut oil I actually think I like it a little better. It’s not quite as hydrating as coconut oil but it seriously removes all of my makeup without a lot of product–or tugging. Not to mention, it helps cut down on the need to tone after cleansing. I still enjoy the added benefits of toning but I know that I no longer have to use it just to make sure my face is completely clean before bed. If you have sensitive skin or eyes, I totally recommend checking out the Bobbi Brown Instant Long-Wear Makeup Remover!
