Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer Swatches

There comes a time in every makeup junkie’s life where she knows it’s time to reorganize and destash all her precious goodies. I’m currently at that point. Le sigh. The cleaning and reorganizing part isn’t all that fun. However, rediscovering all of the lost goodies long forgotten is way too much fun.

Just the other day I stumbled across some of my Chanel Glossimers that I’ve been collecting here and there for years now. Like most of my glosses, I’d buy a couple, wear them for a week or two and then they disappear for months on end. Now that I’ve dug them back up I can’t seem to stop playing with them because they’re oh so pretty.

Chanel Glossimers feature a very simple design that’s still chic with a luxury feel. There’s a wide variety of colors in the range with new (and limited edition) shades appearing almost every season so there’s a little something for everyone. Just as long as you don’t mind a sheer finish.

Some of the bolder shades are a little more opaque but the overall finish of Chanel Glossimers is light and feminine for a soft wash of color. And I actually like that. It makes them great for light/no makeup days and easy to pair with lipsticks.

I currently have 7 shades in my collection including:

  • 297 Sweet Beige shimmering beige-pink
  • 83 Magnifique shimmering soft pink (limited edition)
  • 119 Wild Rose shimmering neutral pink
  • 357 Mystery pinky beige
  • 03 Glaze translucent lavender
  • 169 Jalousie bright fuchsia
  • 182 Tocade deep plum (limited edition)

As you probably guessed, I have a thing for Jalousie and Tocade because they’re the boldest shades of the bunch and the most pigmented. I’m also a really big fan of Wild Rose, too. It’s actually my favorite shade at the moment because it’s super easy to wear. It looks very natural on my lips when worn alone and the shimmer is really out of this world. It makes my lips look so juicy and kissable!

The Chanel Glossimers are pure luxury so they’ll cost you a pretty penny ($30) but I still think it’s worth it to add at least one to your collection. It’s one of the most comfortable gloss formulas I’ve worn yet.

Those are pretty! I’m loving the Magnifique and Wild Rose.

    1. Funny you picked those 2. I just slipped them in my makeup bag because they make great everyday glosses. You should definitely check out Wild Rose soon! I think you’d like it too

I’m definitely going to check one of them out at least. I usually wear gloss to work & I think that would work very well!

        1. It’s a great neutral gloss for work and the shimmer will help give it a little oomph too. Let me know if you try it soon!
