Sephora Skincare Haul!

GlamGlow PowerMud Dual Cleanse Treatment, YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment, Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Magic

Anyone else obsessed with maintaining glowing, healthy skin? Lately I’ve been on a bit of a skincare kick which has gotten expensive but has proved to be so worth it. I’ve been staying on top of my mask game and my skin has never been more clear and breakout free. Who knew impulse buying could be so beneficial?

Peter Thomas Roth Mini Mask Magic Set

About a month ago, I took a leap of faith and decided to try the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask. I’d been meaning to try some of his products for a while but never quite knew where to start. Now that I’ve been wearing makeup more than ever I’ve been making sure to stay on top of my mask routine to keep my pores clean and complexion clear.┬áSo I ended up trying the Cucumber Gel Mask which I fell completely in love with. Turns out, Peter Thomas Roth is like the master of masks because when I shared a post about the Cucumber Gel Mask on Instagram I received comments to try the rose mask too–which is supposedly just as amazing.

I’m a sucker for a good mask so I when I found this Sephora exclusive Mini Mask Magic set with 3 of his masks I jumped right on it. Twice. The Mini Mask Magic set is a collection of Peter Thomas Roth’s most popular masks to detoxify, repair and polish skin. It includes 3 x 0.5 oz deluxe sized jars of:

  • Cucumber Gel Mask to help soothe, hydrate and detoxify dry skin
  • Rose Stem Bio-Repair Gel Mask contains cutting-edge plant biotechnology that isolates and replicates the perfect rose stem cells for maximum age repair
  • Pumpkin Enzyme Mask a highly effectively treatment that addresses a dull, aging and congested complexion

GlamGlow PowerMud Dual Cleanse Treatment, YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

I guess this was sort of a mask mania haul because I went in for a double dipping of GlamGlow too lol. I’ve been a fan of the YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment for years now but I could never commit to the $70 price tag so I like to opt for the smaller, cheaper jars. I like to save this stuff for those extra nasty breakouts that have to go away asap. Or when my skin is just too dull. I’ve always seemed to have pretty good luck with GlamGlow masks so I decided to try their newest concoction, the PowerMud DualCleanser Treatment. In true GlamGlow tradition, it’s a mud mask, however, it dissolves into a deep cleansing oil once you add water to move the weekly buildup of dirt, oil and makeup. Sounds nice right? It’s been receiving pretty stellar reviews so I have my fingers crossed that PowerMud lives up to the GlamGlow legacy.

Have you tried any of these masks before?

  1. Yes, I bought the peter roth mask. I used the pumpkin one as an exfoliant. the other mask I use a mask to calm down mu skin after I use a harsh exfloliant or a clay mask. The rose and cucumber really soothing and moisturizing

I’ve tried the Irish moor mud mask, not sure how I feel about it, I think I prefer the origins charcoal mask, but I probably ought to give the PTR one a second go. I have a sample of the rose stem mask that I haven’t gotten around to trying yet. At this point I have so many deluxe samples I have to make a special effort to remember to try them.

Last year possibly around this time or later in the season, i picked up the PTR mask trio and still have it! I agree with Ericaa, I tend to use the Gel masks after harsh exfoliating sessions as well as a sleeping pack sometimes, but for me they aren’t the best for that use. I also use the Pumpkin mask some mornings when i need light exfoliation. I love how fragrant the rose mask is too.

PTR has some nice masks! His Firmx Peeling Gel is holy grail for me, you rub it on clean dry skin, there’s no harsh beads/scrubs, and tons of dead skin just falls right off. My skin is instantly brighter and smoother
