Walgreens Disney Vixen’s Kiss Lip Color Set Review
If you’re anything like me, you’re probably thinking, “This Walgreens Disney Villains Collection is just too cute to use!” The packaging may feel cheap but the novelty of the our favorite villains plastered on every piece will probably never wear off. I’ve already cracked open the lipsticks yet I’ve still found a way to let them sit pretty on my vanity for a few more days. I’ll probably end up doing the same with Maleficent’s Vixen’s Kiss Lip Color Set too because these chubby lipstick pencils are both functional and adorable.
There’s 3 chubby lip pencils in the set which, sadly, aren’t named. I’m a little disappointed because:
- I don’t know what the hell to call them.
- I would have loved Disney to whip up some creative Sleeping Beauty themed names.
That was a little whack of Disney but they certainly make up for the missing names with a nice formula and some pretty tempting shades. Despite the slightly cheap feeling packaging. The Vixen’s Kiss Lip Color Set seems to be the best looking of the bunch but the clear plastic tops fall off pretty easily making them a hassle to carry in a cluttered purse or makeup bag.
Minus the minor blips, the Vixen’s Kiss Lip Color set is a really great value with beautiful colors that I would rock all the time. It includes a:
- bright warm fuchsia pink
- cool lavender with a pink undertone
- berry pink
All 3 shades feature a satin finish with a lightweight creamy texture and no noticeable scent. To be honest, I was expecting these to be sheer, waxy and drying but they’re actually pretty great quality. The lavender and berry shades were my favorite as they applied smoothy and evenly with full coverage in a single swipe. The fuchsia shade was rather pigmented too but it had a slightly drier texture that made it cling to my lips more causing it to apply a bit streaky and patchy. It wasn’t too fussy and evened out with a couple of layers though so I wouldn’t necessarily call it a dud.
The Vixen’s Kiss Lip Color Set performed rather well, too, lasting between 3-5 hours before fading into a nice stain. The berry shade was my absolute favorite because it was the best performing–not to mention it’s makes a beautiful fall lip. The berry shade was the creamiest and it didn’t settle into lip lines or emphasize fakes. The lavender shade was a close runner up. My only gripe is that it tends to settle into lip lines as it fades and, of course, I need a lip liner for it to live up to its full potential. The fuchsia shade was the worst performing as it tends to settle into lip lines, emphasize flakes and fades unevenly. I absolutely had to line my lips completely with my Milani clear lip pencil for the best results.
I may not be the biggest fan of the packaging or the fuchsia chubby but the lavender and berry lipsticks are more than worth the $7 this set costs. The colors are beautiful, pigmented, long lasting and aren’t drying at all. Plus, they look great on brown skin. If you spot Maleficent’s Villain’s Kiss Lip Color Set at your local Walgreens I recommend scooping it up!

These are so freaking cute! (Even if the packaging is cheap.) I love the colors.
