New Hair Goodies!
Finding old gift cards when you clean out your wallet is such a great feeling. It’s like a reward for your hard work plus a special excuse to go shopping. I could always use that. Last week, I discovered some Sally Beauty gift cards so I decided to pick up a few new goodies to help me on my hair journey.
I needed to grab some shampoo and more leave-in conditioner but I ended up with:
Miss Jessie’s Curly ButterCreme I usually stretch my relaxers for over 3 months so I’m slightly obsessed with finding the perfect product to manage my hair during the “in between” stages. I’ve heard great things about Miss Jessie’s Curly ButterCreme from naturals so I decided to finally give in and try it. My natural hair is really thick and tightly coiled so I’m looking forward to seeing how the Curly ButterCreme will work for me once my new growth kicks back in.
Shea Moisture African Black Soap Dandruff Control Shampoo My scalp is always dry, itchy and flaky for some reason so I didn’t think twice about picking up this shampoo. I’m a big fan of Shea Moisture lately so I have faith that this shampoo is going to be a good product. Plus, it’s formulated with tea tree oil which I use religiously whenever my skin is freaking out. Should be a match made in heaven, right?
Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength & Shine Leave-In Conditioner Since my hair is always in a bun, I figured it would be smart to finally try a spray leave-in conditioner for convenience. Sally Beauty had a lot of options but I ended up going with the Creme of Nature Argan Oil Strength & Shine Leave-In Conditioner. The Creme of Nature Argan Oil line has been pretty popular for years and my hair loves argan oil so I figured I’d give it a whirl. I actually tried this right after relaxing and I was pretty pleased with the results so I look forward to using it more.
African Pride Olive Miracle Anti-Breakage Maximum Strengthening Moisturizing Lotion I was actually in search their leave in conditioner (my holy grail leave-in/moisturizer) but it was sold out so I grabbed the Maximum Strengthening Lotion since it was only $3. The leave-in from this line works wonders for my hair so I have my fingers crossed that the Moisturizing Lotion will do my dry strands some justice.
African Royal Hot Six Oil I love to experiment with oils but I always have a bottle of Hot Six Oil somewhere in rotation. It’s super moisturizing and leaves my hair super soft and shiny. My mom and I go through a bottle every few months so I couldn’t resist picking up an extra one to keep it in stock.
