Yves Saint Laurent 49 Terriblement Fuchsia Gloss Volupte Review

Yves Saint Laurent 49 Terriblement Fuchsia Gloss Volupte

When it comes to luxury makeup, I almost always end up buying a product because of the packaging. Well, initially. I do intend to use the good stuff inside eventually but often I find myself hauling things simply because I think they’ll look like art on my vanity. I think that was my train of thought when I picked up the Yves Saint Laurent 49 Terriblement Fuchsia Gloss Volupte. ‘Cause after it left my vanity I had almost completely forgotten about it.

That is, until i randomly dug it up one day while attempting to reorganize my stash. Which turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise because Terriblement Fuchsia is the bomb. It’s a fun bright hot fuchsia pink littered with golden shimmer with YSL’s signature sweet grape scent. I was drawn to the chic packaging at first, of course, but Terriblement Fuchsia has rightfully earned its spot in my makeup bag.

Terriblement Fuchsia applies smoothly and evenly with semi-opaque coverage and a lightweight creamy texture that’s oh so comfortable. Almost like silk on the lips. It isn’t sticky or tacky at all–yet it still lasts pretty long. Terriblement Fuchsia hangs on for around 3-4 hours before fading into a light vibrant pink stain with a hint of that delectable gold shimmer left behind.

To be honest, I was expecting more of a sheer wash of color with a little shimmer but Terriblement Fuchsia has really blown me away. She’s not just a pretty gloss but a pretty gloss with substance!
