My Current Daily Skincare Routine

Morning Skincare Routine: Murad Essential-C Cleanser, Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate, Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner, Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream

Makeup will always be my first love but as I get older I’m starting to become more and more intrigued by skincare. A beat face is only as good as the canvas and lately I’ve been determined to make my face the best canvas ever. I’ve always had pretty clear skin but after working for Bobbi Brown I learned quite a lot about how to properly care for my skin and keep it healthy and clear.

As a result, I’ve beefed up my skincare routine quite a bit and if you follow me on Snapchat then you know it’s been working like a charm! So I figured I’d be a good beauty blogger and share the wealth by giving you a rundown on how I’ve been keeping my skin in tip top shape since I’ve last checked in.

Murad Essential-C Cleanser

Step One: Cleanser

Murad’s Essential-C Cleanser has become one of my holy grail morning cleansers because it does so much so well. It’s a lightweight, gentle gel cleanser with a light lather that removes dirt, oil and impurities without stripping my already dry skin. Essential-C has a sweet, refreshing citrus scent and bursting micro beads that makes it a joy to use in the morning as it acts as a quick pick me up. It’s also loaded with antioxidants and Vitamin C to help protect my skin from environmental damage and clear up dark spots.

Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner

Step Two: Toner

I wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis so I’m very anal on keeping my pores clean and clear to avoid unnecessary (and pesky) breakouts. My new secret weapon to clear skin is Pixi’s Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner. It’s a gentle exfoliating toner formulated with 5% glycolic acid, aloe vera and ginseng to gently remove dead skin, soothe and condition skin all while protecting it from environmental damage. I use Glow Tonic religiously morning and night because it keeps my sensitive skin in check and my complexion glowing and radiant. I think the glycolic acid has also played a part in evening out my skintone and reducing the appearance of my annoying fine lines.

Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate

Step Three: Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate

Serums are still pretty new to me but I’m pretty confident I made an excellent choice starting out with Lancome’s Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate. It’s a lightweight, hydrating anti-aging serum that gives my moisturizer an extra boost and has considerably cut down the appearance of the fine lines under my eyes and around my mouth. My skin feels much softer and more plump since I’ve started using Genifique.

Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream

Step Four: Eye Cream

My under eyes are naturally deathly dry for some reason but they’ve gotten considerably better since I’ve introduced Bobbi Brown’s Extra Repair Eye Cream to my routine. It’s an extremely rich, hydrating cream that’s a little thick but very nourishing and a huge boost for tired eyes. And dry concealers. Extra Repair Eye Cream helps my concealer apply more smoothly and last better throughout the day making it a great “primer” too.

Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base

Step Five: Moisturizer

Now that it’s a little colder out, I’ve switched to a richer, creamier moisturizer to keep my dry skin nice and moisturized. I’ve fallen in love with Bobbi Brown’s Vitamin Enriched Face Base because it’s formulated with Shea butter for maximum hydration and it smells so good. Like lemons and sunshine. It’s not too heavy and doesn’t take long to absorb like most cream moisturizers making it perfect for these warmer winter days we’ve been having lately. Plus, Vitamin Enriched Face Base doubles as a makeup primer so it saves me an extra step in the morning.

I use Neutrogena deep pore cleanser, then I usually moisturize with Mary Kay Even Complexion lotion. I also, use Mary Kay Microdermabrision system every other week. Keeps the dark spots and breakouts at bay.
