3 Yes to Coconut Products Dry Skin Needs

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Skincare

As an avid beauty junkie, it’s hard admitting that I can be a bit of a snob sometimes but in some cases I just can’t help it. I appreciate the beauty in all makeup–from drugstore to high end. However, I’m a little more picky when it comes to skincare products. Because most times the higher price tag is well justified in the results. High end brands like Peter Thomas Roth and Murad easily captured my heart with their effective (and very expensive) skincare products that work miracles on my skin. But every now and then I come across some rather amazing skincare gems in the drugstore aisles that seriously impress me. Like my holy grail toner, Pixi Glow Tonic, and the new Yes To Coconut Hydrate & Restore Ultra Calming Skincare line.

Besides the Cooling Lip Oil, I’ve always picked over the Yes To line because I just wasn’t that convinced that it was all that great. Especially for the slightly higher prices than other budget beauty skincare lines. All that changed though when the Yes To Coconut line was expanded to include a range of hydrating skincare products that piqued my interest and excited my dry skin. To hell with being a skincare snob. I love coconut oil way too much!

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask

The entire line seemed pretty solid including a mask, cleanser, moisturizer and more for a complete skincare routine that’s tailored for dry skin and coconut oil lovers. One of my top picks was the Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask formulated with natural detoxifying clay, aloe vera leaf juice and more to gently purify skin while adding deep moisture and relief. I’ve used it a few times so far and I really like the formula. Upon application, it has a slight tingle (thanks to the detoxifying clay) that fades rather quickly as it sets to a hard mask. The Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask wasn’t as hydrating as I was expecting but I was quite impressed with how clean and supple it made my skin feel while offering a nice radiant glow. And I loved the yummy coconut scent! I think the Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Mask will be a great option for people with dry skin who like the deep cleansing properties of clay masks but find them too harsh and drying.

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm

When I saw the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Balm I immediately grabbed it because it seemed like a must have for my parched eyes. The ingredients are what pulled me in as they’re mostly natural and sounded like a dream for dry skin. Goodies like coconut oil, glycerin and Shea butter are rather high up on the list –things my skin typically loves. I’ve been using the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm for a few weeks now (full review coming soon!) and I’ve been loving the results. It has a rich, creamy texture that doesn’t feel heavy and absorbs pretty quickly. Like the mask, the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm sports a heavenly coconut scent that’s just as soothing and relaxing as the formula. I love to apply it after a long day of work and makeup as it instantly moisturizes my dry eyes and keeps them hydrated until the morning. I often struggle to complete a full on nighttime skincare routine because I’m usually super tired after double cleansing but on the nights I do apply the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm I find that my eyes aren’t quite as dry as they typically in the morning and throughout the day.

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Souffle Moisturizer

After grabbing the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm and finishing my precious jar of Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base I thought it was only right to pick up the Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Facial Souffle Moisturizer as well. It sports some of the same ingredients of the Ultra Hydrating Overnight Eye Balm so I was instantly sold and couldn’t wait to try it. So far, the Ultra Hydrating Facial Souffle Moisturizer is my favorite product in the line as it’s intensely hydrating and has been keeping my dry skin soft and radiant while creating a smooth base for makeup application. The Ultra Hydrating Facial Souffle Moisturizer is incredibly rich with a slightly thick, balm-like consistency that’s been working wonders at keeping my winter dryness in check. A little goes a very long way to keep away those pesky flaky dry patches and keep my complexion from looking dull and washed out from the harsh winter winds. I actually love it!

Overall, I think the Yes to Coconut Hydrate & Restore skincare line is a win for dry skin and beauties on a budget. The price range is a little higher than other drugstore lines ($5.99 – $15.99) but I think natural ingredients make up for it. Especially if you have sensitive skin and coupons. It’s easy to be a bit of a snob when it comes to skincare but every now and then there’s a good exception to the rule and I think Yes To Coconut Hydrate & Restore line is one of those exceptions. I definitely recommend heading to your local Target or Ulta to give them a try!
