Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

When I actually have enough time to sit in the mirror and lay out a full face of makeup it’s pure bliss! It’s just so much fun whipping up creative eye looks, highlighting and contouring, popping on a little blush and lots of highlight. It really puts me in the zone. Ironically, though, the best part about getting all dolled up is taking it all off at the end of the day and hopping in the sack. Ahhhh, sweet relief!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

As you can imagine, I’ve tried my fair share of makeup removers but one of my favorite formulas to turn to is micellar water because it’s pretty much a one stop shop. Depending on the brand, you can remove everything from foundation to even waterproof mascara with just a swipe of a cotton pad.

My latest addiction is the new Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleasning Water. There’s 2 versions: an original formula and a bi-phase formula. I went with the bi-phase formula because it removes waterproof mascara which is something most micellar waters tend to struggle with. I’ve been using the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water for a couple of weeks now and I’m blown away with how well it works–especially for the price.

I’ve gotten used to shelling out $17 for Vichy’s Cleansing Water because I thought the cheaper versions (like Simple) just couldn’t compare but Garnier is definitely giving Vichy a run for its money at almost half the price ($9). The bi-phase SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water is just as gentle as the Vichy version but it’s a lot more powerful. A little goes a very long way to remove waterproof eye makeup, foundation and even tough liquid lipsticks after a long day of slaying.

I really put it to the test in LA over the weekend when I wore a complete full face of makeup everyday and it passed with flying colors. Not only did it remove every trace with just a few cotton rounds (3-4) but I was also able to pass right out afterwards without hitting the sink and fully cleansing. Needless to say, I was a little nervous that I’d wake up with wrecked skin but I discovered that the SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water really got the job done when I thoroughly cleansed my face in the mornings with very little makeup residue leftover. Nice, Garnier!

I won’t be giving up my precious nighttime cleansers anytime soon but I definitely appreciate the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water and will be using it faithfully to remove my makeup before double cleansing. It’s still nice to know that when I’m feeling too tired or all partied out that I can whip out the SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water and hit the sheets without stress. If you’ve been on the hunt for an affordable yet good quality micellar water then I definitely recommend trying the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water! You can find it at your local CVS, Walgreens, Target and Ulta.
