Valentine’s Day at Ulta
Most people with healthy love and social lives would hate spending Valentine’s Day at work but I spent almost the entire day at Ulta and it wasn’t too bad at all. Mo’ money, mo’ makeup! The only thing I hated is that we were so damn busy that I was running nonstop. It got so bad that once we closed and kicked the last few customers out I just had to pick out a Valentine’s Day treat for myself. After all my hard work it was only right. Plus, I just couldn’t resist gifting myself a few things that I’ve had my eye on forever. Lord knows I deserve it!
Valentine’s Day seemed to be the perfect excuse to pick up the Ariana Grande perfume I’ve had my eye on for months. I’m not the biggest fan of Ariana Grande but I can’t deny that the girl has good taste. I’m still in need of her MAC Viva Glam lipstick and her ARI fragrance smells sooo good. I’m not the only one who thinks so either. During the holiday season, my store struggled to keep it in stock because it was such a huge sensation. And it still is. ARI is a soft, sweet yet slightly sensual floral musk scent with notes of pear, vanilla orchid and marshmallow that gives a girly but grownup vibe that’s irresistible. ARI reminds me a lot of my signature fragrance, Prada Candy, but a little sweeter with a more girly, playful vibe. I already love it!
I’ve also had my eye on quite a few of Ulta brand products and since there’s currently a massive (and rather awesome) gift with purchase going on at the moment I thought it would be a great time to go ahead and indulge. What’s better than a free gift with a gift? Nothing! You have to spend $19.50 in the Ulta Beauty Collection to qualify for the gift which was easy for me to do because I want the Contour Kit ($18) and one (or maybe 3) of the Matte Lip Creams. This time around, I grabbed just one of the Matte Lip Creams in Striking, a magenta pink, and the Contour Kit I’ve been dying to get my hands on. I’ve heard lots of good things about the Contour Kit and I’m always swatching it whenever I hit the Ulta wall so it was time to finally add it to my collection. The Contour Kit features 4 powder bronzers and 2 highlighters that are rather brown girl friendly. I can’t wait to finally try it tomorrow!

Not bad at all! The last thing I need is anymore makeup but with a gift this good I’m tempted to grab a few of the regular matte lipsticks and a highlighter stick just to grab another one LOL. In my defense, I’ve been playing with Ulta’s lipsticks and chubby cheek sticks and my goodness are they nice! It would be a disservice to myself to not buy them. Especially when I can get another one of these nifty goody bags to gift to my friends!
