Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Collection

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Collection

A few years ago, the first brand that came to mind when I thought about good quality eyeshadows was Urban Decay. Now, my first brand of choice has become Too Faced with Lorac being a super close second. Too Faced is mostly known for their super cute packaging but when they released the original Chocolate Bar Palette I realized that Too Faced meant serious business. Since then, Too Faced has created an entire Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Collection featuring 3 beautiful palettes that are all pigmented with a soft buttery texture that’s incredibly easy to blend. They’re pretty much life in a palette to sum it quickly. I think every makeup junkie needs at least one of them!

The original Chocolate Bar Palette released years ago but it’s still one of the best selling eyeshadow palettes today because it’s cohesive with a good mix of cool and warm shades as a variety of finishes. There’s 4 mattes and 12 shimmers to help create a multitude of looks from a quick everyday neutral eye to a vamped up smokey eye. When I first picked up the Chocolate Bar Palette it was pretty much all that I used because I loved the shimmers so much and was completely obsessed with Cherry Cordial. At the moment, I have a nice dip in Cherry Cordial because it quickly became my go to crease shade. I also loved using Semi-Sweet in my crease as a transition shade and a natural crease shade along with a wash of Amaretto, Marzipan or Hazelnut on the lid for a quick everyday eye that still jazzed up my eyes without taking too much time or effort. Besides the cohesive color scheme, the Chocolate Bar Palette also had an amazing formula that made it super easy to apply and blend and it also lasted well throughout the day–even without a primer. It’s no wonder the Chocolate Bar Palette became one of my all time favorite palettes for almost a year.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette

Just when I was ready for a little something new after religiously using my Chocolate Bar Palette for so long Too Faced came out with the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette that I absolutely had to have. Not just because I loved the original Chocolate Bar Palette but also because it featured a warmer color scheme and came with the most perfect transition shade I’ve ever seen in my life: Peanut Butter. Once I got my hands on the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette, I was pulling it out for almost every eyeshadow look because it was so easy to create any kind of look. If I wanted a soft neutral look, I could sweep a little Peanut Butter in my crease and top off my lids with Caramel, Bon Bon or Butter Pecan. On the days I wanted to kick it up a notch, I would add Truffle to my crease and pair it with Frosting. And if I wanted a smokey look or a bold look, I would instantly pop on Blueberry Swirl, Cocoa Chilly or a little Licorice to really make my eyes stand out. Semi-Sweet is easily my favorite palette in the collection because I just love warm neutrals and Too Faced put together some of the best shades I could have ever asked for in a soft, blendable formula that lasts all day and applies so well. My favorite shades so far are Bordeaux,

After the original Chocolate Bar Palette and Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette I honestly didn’t think Too Faced could get any cuter but they one upped themselves with the recent release of the new Chocolate Bon Bons Palette. It’s covered in pink and hearts. What’s cuter than that?! Nothing! At first, I wasn’t feeling it too much because it looked a little cheap in pictures however my mind was completely changed when I saw it in person and was able to score a few dollars off on it. When I finally got my hands on it, I actually started to fall for the Chocolate Bon Bons Palette because the shades were right up my alley. There was a nice mix of warm neutrals and sprinkles of pink that I knew was going to mesh so well with my dark brown eyes. The more I started using Chocolate Bon Bons, the more I realized of great of a palette it is. It sports the same buttery smooth texture as the rest of the gang that’s super easy to blend but I find that it’s a little easier to create out of the box looks while still feeling natural. My favorite shades are Almond Truffle, Bordeaux, Black Currant, Malted and Totally Fetch.
