Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette Swatches
Nothing warms a makeup junkie’s heart more than seeing limited edition palettes go on sale. It’s just magical! Last week, Ulta decided to close out 21 Days of Beauty with a bang by adding the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette as a Hot Buy for half off. For just $22.50, many of us were able to get our hands on Gwen Stefani’s personalized limited edition blush palette online and in stores at Ulta. Of course, it sold like hot cakes so everyone wasn’t able to catch such a great deal before it disappered. However, Sephora has decided to join in on the fun by marking down the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette to just $30. Yay!
When the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette first released a lot of us with a little more color wrote it off thinking it would be strictly for the fair skin gals. I know I did. However, checking things out in person and giving them a quick swatch is always a good idea because you never quite know how well it may actually work for you if you don’t try it. The moment the Gwen Stefani Blush Palette hit stores, I immediately started checking it out to see just what it was all about. I was pretty sure it would work best for lighter complexions and it really does. However, I learned that it’s not a complete waste when it comes to darker skin tones as well.
There’s 6 shades in the Gwen Stefani Blush Palette including:
- Cherry Blush light pink satin
- Easy Blush deep rose with gold shimmer
- Angel Highlighter champagne nude shimmer
- Lo-Fi Bronzer soft bronze matte
- Hush Highlighter medium pink with gold shimmer
- OC Highlighter soft pink with peach shift
Cherry Blush and Lo-Fi Bronzer are a bit on the pale side so I’m not the biggest fan of either shades. However, the rest of the palette seems to be fair game for dark skinned divas.Easy Blush makes for a beautiful pop of color with a soft golden sheen and the highlighters are absolutely gorgeous. Angel and Hush really pop on brown skin with a stunning glow that reminds me a lot of the new highlighters Urban Decay just released for summer. The most breathtaking shade in the Gwen Stefani Palette turned out to be OC. It has a gorgeous peachy pink duochrome finish that’s absolutely delicious and the most unique highlighter I’ve ever laid eyes on.
Is the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette an absolute must have if you’re on the darker end of the spectrum? Not exactly. However, you may be doing yourself a disservice if you write off the Gwen Stefani Blush Palette while it’s on sale and still in stock. Go check it out for yourself!
