More Makeup Revolution Goodies!
Love makeup but hate paying the big bucks for the good stuff? Then you need to check out Makeup Revolution at Ulta because their products are amazing quality at super affordable prices. With blushes and highlighters at just $6 and lipsticks and glosses at $3 it can be hard to believe that it’s all good quality. But trust me. Makeup Revolution is all good! I’ve been wearing my Golden Lights Vivid Baked Highlighter and Nude Matte Blush daily since I picked them up during the BOGO sale at Ulta and I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of them. In fact, I love them so much that I doubled back and picked up a handful more Makeup Revolution while they were still on sale. There was no way I could resist grabbing more when the quality and the prices are this good. It’s only right!
It seems that Makeup Revolution isn’t that large of a section in Ulta (just yet) so it can be hard to find certain products in certain stores. For instance, I came across 2 beautiful baked blush palettes while browsing online at Ulta that my local store doesn’t carry: Blush Queen Palette and Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Ultra Blush Palette. I ended up finding both at another Ulta near me and I couldn’t be happier that I made the trip. Makeup Revolution makes some beautiful blush palettes! It’s hard to believe that they’re only $10 because you get 8 blushes (some that double as highlighters) in nice sized pans that are rather pigmented and pretty soft too–as in the case of the Blush Queen Palette. The Blush Queen Palette features 8 baked blushes in a variety of pink tones from neutral to bright. All 8 shades are rather shimmery so they can also double as highlighters but they’re not super glittery to the point that they come off as glitter bombs. I can easily see the Blush Queen Palette working well for all skintones as pretty blushes or stunning highlights to pair with other blushes. If you love baked blushes or just want to expand your blush collection without going broke I definitely think the Blush Queen Palette would be a great investment.
The Blush Queen Palette is fairly beautiful but the Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Ultra Blush Palette is life! I could have fainted when I cracked it open and saw all those beautiful pink, gold and peachy highlighters all packed into one convenient palette. You guys know I love to highlight and glow for days so I’m already over the moon for Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Ultra Blush Palette. It features 6 baked blushes/highlighters and 2 regular blushes/highlighters that are extremely flattering on all skin tones. Especially brown skin. All of the baked blushes/highlighters pop beautifully against my complexion while the other 2 shades seem to be more muted yet still very pretty. I think the more subtle shades (the two on the right) will layer well with the baked shades for an intense gorgeous glow. The Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Ultra Blush Palette is easily a great buy for the highlighter junkie or beginner. You can’t go wrong with this beauty!
The last thing I need in life is yet another highlighter. Especially after grabbing the stunning Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Ultra Blush Palette but I loved Golden Lights Vivid Baked Highlighter so much that I just had to try Radiant Lights too. Radiant Lights is a neutral soft peachy pink with fine iridescent shimmer that will work well on light and deep complexions. From swatching Radiant Lights, I don’t think it packs as much of a punch as Golden Lights but it’s still very pretty and will definitely deliver a good glow. I can’t wait to try it on so I can see how it really compares to my precious Golden Lights.
I could live without buying anymore lip gloss but spring and summer makes me want to get a little glossy so I went ahead and grabbed a few more of the Salvation Intense Lip Lacquers since they were super cheap and on sale. Can’t beat that, right? I ended up grabbing:
- Gave You All My Love lilac pink
- Didn’t I Tell You? coral pink
- Nothing Like Anything peachy coral
All 3 shades are perfect for spring and summer and they all sport a rather good formula too. The Salvation Intense Lip Lacquers have a soft, cushiony texture that doesn’t feel tacky or sticky with great pigmentation and a sweet vanilla scent. They’re easily pigmented to wear alone but they also play nicely with lipsticks making them a great option for layering over drying mattes. I wasn’t expecting much out of the Salvation Lip Lacquers when I first grabbed them but it turns out that they’r’e actually quite nice. I actually like them a lot more than some of my MAC Lipglass that I paid triple the price for. Overall, I think Makeup Revolution is a pretty solid brand all the way around. I’ve had pretty good luck with their products so far and I’m already looking forward to trying a few more. If you happen to spot Makeup Revolution at your local Ulta I highly recommend checking them out!
