Still Obsessing Over the MAC Chris Chang Collection
Anyone else still drooling over the MAC Chris Chang Collection? I know I’m not alone here! Initially, I purchased a few products from the collection solely because the packaging is beyond gorgeous and I had a $10 off discount code. Once I finally got my hands on my new Chris Chang goodies I developed such a strong love for the collection. Not just because the packaging is amazing but also because the actual products turned out wonderfully too. I don’t have a bright yellow matte shadow in my collection so I jumped at the chance to bring home Royal Woo Eyeshadow which I knew would be a great lid color for spring and summer. Rich Coral Cream Colour Base can easily be duped in my collection but orange blushes are so easy for me to wear so I went ahead and tossed it in my cart too. It’s a bit sheer but I like that I can easily build up Rich Coral for a soft, natural flush of orange that warms up my complexion and gives me a nice luminous glow too.
However, my favorite piece from the collection is Plum Princess Lipstick. Hands down! Plum Princess is a cool dusty lilac with a creamy matte finish that’s very comfortable to wear and really pops against my brown skin. After receiving my package, Plum Princess was in heavy rotation because it’s surprisingly easy to pull off. Especially with a vampy liner like MAC Cyber World Pencil (my go to). In fact, Plum Princess is still in my makeup bag at the moment because I like to keep it on me in case I want to switch things up and replace my nude lip with something a little more fun.
There’s a lot of different ways to rock the Chris Chang Collection but this look is perhaps the easiest for me as it’s rather natural for such a bold, bright collection. I used Royal Woo Eyeshadow on my lids and blended Rebel and Leader from the Tartelette in Bloom Palette into my crease for a natural smokey look with a bit of a pop. On my cheeks, I brushed on a couple layers of Rich Coral Cream Colour Base and topped it off with the Wet n Wild Precious Petals MegaGlo Highlighting Powder for a radiant summer glow. Finally, I lined my lips with MAC Cyber World Lip Pencil and applied Plum Princess Lipstick in the center. When you look at Rich Coral, Royal Woo and Plum Princess all together you’d think it would be hard to make orange blush, yellow eyeshadow and lilac lipstick mesh but the Chris Chang Collection makes it incredibly effortless. If you haven’t ordered anything from the MAC Chris Chang Collection I highly recommend checking it out before it’s all gone!
