Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer Review
Finding the perfect concealer can be a real pain in the butt. First you have to find the perfect shade. A shade that isn’t too light and makes you look like Donald Trump in pictures or too close to your foundation that your complexion looks monotone with no dimension. Next, you have to find a good formula with the perfect balance of creaminess and emollience so it doesn’t look dry but doesn’t settle into every crack and crevice under your eyes before sliding right off by the end of the day. Trust me when I say I understand the struggle, girl! I’ve tried a ton of concealers over the years and I’ve always struggled with them settling into that one annoying fine line under my eyes and then looking dry and cakey when set with a powder. However, I think I may have found my holy grail concealer that actually gives my beloved NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer a little run for its money.
When Urban Decay added more shades to the Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer line I finally decided to give it a try after hearing so many good things about it and finally finding my perfect match in Golden Dark. Golden Dark is a warm caramel brown that’s very close in color to my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Amande except it’s a tiny bit cooler with a hint of red. Golden Dark still manages to fit me like a glove naturally brightening my under eyes to make me look more awake and my complexion look seamlessly flawless.
At first, I was a little hesitant to try the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer because my under eyes can be super dry and the formula has a drier consistency than what I’m used to but this seemed to be a great advantage. The Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is a full coverage formula with a soft, creamy texture and an almost mousse-like consistency that isn’t too emollient or creamy yet still applies and blends easily. Instead of it just sitting on top of my skin and melting into my fine lines (like most creamy concealers) the formula absorbs a bit and then lightly sets to powdery finish that doesn’t look dry or cakey–even when set with a powder.
I find that the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer does still crease a little when I skip the setting powder but not nearly as bad as other formulas I’ve tried before. There’s very slight creasing and it’s more so throughout the day versus the second I apply it. When set wit a powder, the Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer holds up much better with very little creasing at all for over 8 hours. I’ve given up hope on finding a completely crease free concealer but I honestly believe the Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer is the best I’m going to find. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you’ve been struggling to find a good concealer too.
