Wet n Wild Crown of My Canopy MegaGlo Highlighting Powder Review

Wet n Wild Crown of My Canopy MegaGlo Highlighting Powder

If you know me, you know I live to glow all year round but I’m especially amped about achieving that golden goddess glow when spring and summer rolls around. I’ve been picking up quite a few high end highlighters lately including one of the Anastasia Beverly Hills famous Glow Kits but that still didn’t stop me from rushing to Walgreens to check out Wet n Wild’s new limited edition highlighters from their summer collection. The limited edition MegaGlo Highlighting Powders are so enchanting and crazy affordable ($5) that there’s no way a highlight junkie like myself could pass them up. A girl can never have too many highlighters, right?

Of course not! Especially when they’re as pretty as the Wet n Wild Crown of My Canopy MegaGlo Highlighting Powder. It’s so beautiful! Crown of My Canopy comes in lightweight plastic compact that feels cheap but the highlighter itself looks like something straight out of a department store. Crown of My Canopy has a Hawaiian flower-esque imprint that seems to go all the way through the pan. I’ve been wearing Crown of My Canopy religiously for a week and the imprint hasn’t budged a bit. Wet n Wild may have cut a few corners on the packaging but I love that they went all out on the actual product because Crown of My Canopy is seriously stunning from start to finish.

Crown of My Canopy is a warm coppery bronze with lots of fine pink and gold shimmer that’ll mesh well with medium to deep complexions for a touch of warmth and a beautiful glow. It has a smooth, buttery texture that’s surprisingly soft without feeling gritty or powdery. Crown of My Canopy adheres and blends very well and provides a soft, stunning glow that looks very natural when applied lightly or a more intense, killer glow when built up to full intensity. Sometimes, drugstore highlighters (and blushes too) have a tendency to be too glittery and give off more of harsh metallic finish but Wet n Wild manage to nail the MegaGlo Highlighting Powder formula as Crown of My Canopy doesn’t look super glittery or metallic at all. Just glowy and beautiful!

I was dead set on grabbing the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powders just because they looked so beautiful but I’m pleasantly surprised by how well Crown of My Canopy performed. Not only does it look beautiful in the pan and on the face but it also holds up very well. I love how easy it is to apply and how well it lasts throughout the day. Crown of My Canopy lasts for over 8 hours on my dry skin before I notice the slightest signs of fading. It could easily get me through a long day of work plus a night cap without fear of my goddess glow leaving me hanging. I know some of you may have been skeptical to give the Wet n Wild MegaGlo Highlighting Powders a try but I assure you that they’re more than worth the $5. If you happen to spot them at your local drugstore I highly recommend snatching one (or both) up before they’re gone!
